Bali Tropic Resort & Spa is set amongst a sweeping expanse of tropical gardens that make one feel like royalty. Your first impression will be lasting, just like the sincerity of the hospitality offered. The Bungalows, designed in traditional Balinese style are set amidst lush tropical gardens, facing lotus ponds with private balconies surrounded by bougainvillea. Each room has exquisite, romantic 4 poster beds, wonderful rattan occassional furnishings, pleasant views and all the in-room facilities you could wish for. The hotel regularly plays host to colourful Balinese cultural performances, contemporary dances and fashion shows. It has numerous watersports activities, tennis, beach volleyball, sailing and other in-house attractions that more active guests will value. Less energetic pastimes such as petanque, billiards, table tennis, garden chess and othello will be appreciated by quieter types. This adds up to a perfect escape from the pressures you left behind and a holiday to be treasured.

We went there for a romantic week away and found the Bali Tropic a perfect choice for a couple or small family, although there is not a lot to do for children. Rooms are beautiful, as are the grounds. Staff very polite and helpful. Only slight complaint is the choice of food, which is limited. Otherwise full marks, will definitely be going back!...

When looking for all in location not want to leave this area it is very good place,
but when you freqent want to leave visti other locations, shoping and enterainment area which will cost one way min 50.000-100.000 IDR by normal taxi.
Do this 2x a day spend >400.000 IDR for this better rent a car with driver for one day.

Lovely obliging staff, very cheap room service and transport into Ubud. Wonderful and cheap massage. Very pleasant and quiet environment and gardens with statues. A pleasing, relaxing start to our Bali holiday. The room was comfortable and the shower room was quaint.

1. The beach is much cleaner and private than those at Kuta.
2. There are very few restaurants and shopping centres within walking distance from the hotel. If you miss the hotel's shuttle service, its a hassle to find transport as the hotel staff won't arrange taxi service for us.
3. The staff are very friendly and attentive to our other needs.
4. The hotel automatically arraneg taxi booking to airport on checkout. Its very convenient.

Location wise on the beach is fantastic but to get some other choices in terms of food and entertainment, its a bit far-out. Expect a slow and tranquil service as most staff works on a slower pace. But was unhappy with concierge as not very helpful in terms of recommending places to go and took an hour for luggage to reach room!

The resort itself was much better than I had expected and I would have given it an even higher rating. Unfortunately, it was spoiled by the constant loud noise from the hotel's renovation works going on in several parts of the resort.

Very nice hotel located on the beach within easy reach of shops and restaurants. Pool is very nice and clean but a little cramped for a resort of this size. Ample sun beds both at the pool and on the beach. Breakfast buffet was average but service was excellent with ample dining space available. Overall we enjoyed our stay there and would return.

The rooms are great and that's what lured me back to this hotel a second time with my whole family. The Balinese style bungalows nestles in a lush green tropical garden cut out a world of their own and gave me no feeling of the monotony of the regular impersonal hotel room. This, together with the friendly staff who always greeted us with a sincere smile, made the stay more like being guests of a large Balinese family. There may be the odd ants in the bathroom, but they are no bother if you do not work yourself up about them.
Another thing charming about this hotel is its size. Operating at a moderate scale, the hotel caters to a size of clientile just big enough to animate the site, and small enough to avoid the crowding of the beach. Just a short walk to neighbouring hotels would be enough to make one feel lucky to be in Bali Tropic.
The buffet dinner with traditional Balinese dance at the elegant temple stage is good value. Food at hotel restaurants is ok, but not superb and certainly expensive for what one gets. That does not have to be a handicap though. There are plenty of local restaurants up the road, which can give a little break from the hotel routine.
If there is one thing that can keep me permanently out of the hotel restaurants, that would be the muzak of old fashioned and cliche western pop songs. I much prefer the melodious Balinese music with the bamboo flute playing a peaceful and simple tune, reminding me of the rice fields and bamboo wind charms.

We were pleasantly overwhelmed by the hospitality. Great Service, Room space is great, only misgiving is the hotel is a distance away from shopping streets. The room available to us after we checked out, for us to freshen up beore we board for night flight, was really timely and much appreciated.

The beach is not very clean and the water was dirty. Out of the center there is nothing to do outside (walking distance) The royal bungalow is everything but a bungalow. There are 14 rooms in one building. No privacy on the first floor as everybody can see in the room. AC was not properly functionning. couldn't fix it during 5 days

A really nice environment and first class staff. The cost was very low in relation to the standard of accommodation. We stayed at the Westin earlier in the holiday - whilst the overall environment was marginally superior, the Westin charged heavily for a lot of things that were inclusive at the Bali Tropic and felt like a rip-off. We were very happy with the Bali Tropic and will definitely return.

The place is well designed and very balinese with a nice pool and enough recreational activities and nite performances to keep the place alive. Food was excellent, service was friendly. The room is spacious and bath area was impressive. However, when we checked in the room, the floor was dusty and I had to request for floor to be mopped twice. For the price, it is real value for money, I would go back again.

I had asked for a room with a Queen sized bed but was given one with 2 single bed. Though they changed one for us but the location was not as ideal as the first room.

honestly speaking, we couldn't really care about the standard of the room as when you are there, you'll be totally overwhelmed by the hotel's view and atmosphere. spa was excellent! the basic necessaties were there, that's enough to satisfy us.
