We always enjoy coming back to Bali Hyatt. The service and hospitality makes you feel so welcomed and really makes the whole experience a positive one. The only negative point was that we were shown to a room with three single beds when in fact we had booked a king size bed and rollaway bed for my young son. Not sure who's fault. After a little persistence they found a room that met our request. We look forward to returning to the Bali Hyatt on our next trip.
Please be patient…

We had an ocean view room that was quite small, especially the bath room. We had the feeling that the room was a bit damp. The breakfast buffet was ok but nothing special. The Chinese restaurant Telaga Naga has good food but is over-priced. The swimming pools and gardens are beautiful, the beach area is very clean.Hotel Facilities

nice hotel located in sanur, quiet beach of bali.
great garden close to the beach. you will have breakfast and you can admire a family of 4 big lezards in the river...
in the evening, if you need massage or restaurants, you just walk 5 min outside of the hotel and you will find everything to tour in the island, relax, eat...Hotel Facilities

The Bali Hyatt Sanur,is just a beautiful hotel, from the gardens to the pool areas, from their staff, who are amazing, so kind and helpful, always smiling. This is our second time to the Bali Hyatt, and it will not be our last. There is nothing negative about this hotel, all just good.Hotel Facilities

Fiona from Australia stayed in a Ocean view for 3 days.
The picture of the 'ocean view room' balcony and view was nothing like what it actually was. In the picture it looks so good but in reality we could bearly see the beach or ocean and the balcony itself was nothing like in the picture. I wouldnt have minded if I hadnt have had the expectation as everything else was great. Very disappointing, and embarrasing when I promised my partner how wonderful the balcony and view would be according to the picture...........Hotel Facilities

We stayed in Bali Hyatt Sanur in 2005. The staff then had little eye for the customer. This really has improved, this year the staff was excellent. In the week that we stayed we only saw friendley faces and we had a constant feeling of being welcome at the hotel. Good job!Hotel Facilities

This is a good hotel but in need of some refurbishment. The gardens and pool areas are magnificent. The 'in house' prices for food, drink, massage etc are unjustifiably expensive but you can always head down the street! The staff are fantastic.Hotel Facilities

Bernard from New Zealand stayed in a Ocean view for 7 days.
My wife and I stayed at the Hyatt Sanur for 1 week in late March 2010. We really enjoyed our stay and had a very relaxing time. We really enjoyed Sanur as a town, it is quite and relaxed. I also really enjoyed the walk / cycle track along the Sanur coast which was fun.
As with everywhere there are pro's and con's. In my view the Pro's of Sanur as a location is that it is quite, yet well serviced with restaurants & shops etc. It has a relaxed & safe feel about it. The main 'Con' with Sanur is the beach - the water is not very deep as there is a sand bar and reef off the coast there. We enjoyed resting on the beach chairs on the beach but we tended to swim in the hotels pool - which was lovely.
The hotel itself is getting old. I think the common and public areas have been kept up well, the accommodation blocks are a 'bit ordinary'. Having said that, we don't actually have any complaints - service, food & drinks where all good. Also, very friendly and helpful staff. Another really nice aspect of the hotel is the size of the grounds - they are huge- and really nicely landscaped etc.
We also took the free shuttle bus to The Grand Hyatt at Nusa Dua one day. The Grand Hyatt really is grand. It is much bigger, newer and 'sharper' that the Sanur resort. Also the beach at the Grand is far superior - and much better for swimming. Still, I think one negative aspect of the Grand is the Nusa Dua location. Nusa Dua is a 'gated community' of 5 star hotels. So you feel very 'cut off' from Bali. If you want that - just stay in a beautiful resort and don't step outside - then I think the Grand may have more to offer (albeit also more expensive). However - if you want to step out of your door and walk down some local streets (well local tourist resort streets) then Sanur has more to offer.Hotel Facilities

Restaurants hotel not so good. Better eat oustide hotel. Service breakfast very poor, breakfast is officially served till 10.30. First day we arived at 10.25 and couldn't get breakfast. Second day they cleaned up at 10.15. For a 5star hotel not a good value, if you want to clean up that early, say breakfast is till 10.00 and not 10.30.Hotel Facilities

beauiful gardens surrounding the hotel. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We upgraded to the regency club rooms which gave us access to the regency club for afternooon drinks and canapes and complimentary tea and coffee and soft drinks all day if we wanted them. Our room had a beautiful verandah with sun loungers surrounded by tropical plants and trees - you could sit there all day just to watch the squirrels and birds playing in the trees. The Hotel Spa is the best I have ever used -- this was our eleventh trip to Bali.Hotel Facilities

Andrew from Australia stayed in a Ocean view for 6 days.
Our stay at this hotel was just perfect. This is our 3’d stay in Bali and the best.
Yes the hotel is probably 40 years old so it’s not a new plastic everything painted white hotel. The hotel has a truly Balinese style and if ever this hotel gets up dated I hope they never lose its just fantastic character. The hotel has a free shuttle to its more upmarket sister hotel the Grand Hyatt in Nusa Dua. You can spend the day at this hotel and use their facilities and charge expenses to your hotel account. Well worth a look at it you have time. We booked an ocean facing room the sea was probably 60 metres away but the view through the magnificent gardens was fantastic. You really don’t need the ocean view as you don’t spend much time in your room. A standard garden view room would I am sure be great if you wanted to save a few $. We did get too see inside a Regency Room which was also nice the only difference being a slightly bigger bathroom. One thing you must have is get the breakfast included its excellent, just what you would expect from the Hyatt, breakfast was always busy which was a really good sign. The hotel location is excellent as here are plenty of inexpensive restaurants and cafes all within a short walk down the street. There is a paved walkway that must be a few k’s long at the beach front and it goes past a number of other hotels who also have there cafes on the sea front and are a lot cheaper to eat at than the Hyatt. The best café to eat at in the Hyatt was the Pizzaria Café which was on the sea front they made the best pasta dishes and pizza’s and also the best value. The bars are a little expensive but then still only about $5AUD for a beer and about $12AUD for a cocktail, compared to home that’s still excellent value. I must compliment the staff, they would go out of their way to assist they are just the nicest people. The Hyatt Sanur does the Balinese experience proud.
I would highly recommend this hotel, we will stay there again. Its away from the chaos of Kuta, is close to the Sanur shopping strip and security was excellent a top hotel.

Hotel surroundings were nice and location in Sanur area was just great for us. Hotel rooms itself were not that great and noise from other rooms could be heard quite easily. Although did not spend much time on the room itself;) Breakfast was nice but not that great for my taste. Recommend the snorkeling from hotel if you have not done that before. We did see nice aquarium with corals and plenty of fishes etc., which is not available in Scandinavia :) Still might choose same hotel again.Hotel Facilities

The Bali Hyatt is set in a wonderful setting, the pools and gardens are gorgeous. The hotel rooms are a little tired and could do with an update. Please note, that this is an old hotel, which required significant refurbishment. Although, rooms are clean, but can smell (possibly air conditioning). My friend and I stayed in several hotels in Bali and have to admit that Bali Hyatt Sanur is our favorite. The statt is very nice and helpful, the service is excellent and above all the beach view is out of this world, i think it is the best deal in town and would not hesitate to come back again, in fact i am planning my next trip right now and plan to go back. Fantastic hotel. Loved every minute. Staff are amazing and make you feel really welcome from the first minute. Great breakfast every day and no problem getting a sun lounger. Restaurants are OK, but much better value down the street. All in all a wonderful week spent here. Highly recommend. Not certain an ocean view is worth bothering with that much.
