On the whole it is a good hotel but for the not do delux facilities and service, it is expensive. What upset me a bit is that the management is not transparent about the rates. A HotelTravel.com Member, Finland
Good place and location, friendly staff. Highly recommended. Low Chor Li Madelene, Singapore
The free 5 mins massage is only from 10am-12noon, which i feel its too short and should not be restricted to these 2 hours first. They should provide at least 15mins, from 9-6pm, by appointment, expressing the genuine offering of a spa experience. US$68 maybe slightly overpriced. Location bit way out from main Kuta area - good & bad. Inconvenient, but more tranquil. Other than that, all are great - FOOD, facilities, services and outlook. Kai Yuen Lee, Malaysia
The location is good if you prefer a bit of seclusion. The bed in Alam Room is very comfortable. The Hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. The only setback is that the Hotel does not provide body shampoo and shuttle service to airport. A HotelTravel.com Member, Malaysia
The hotel was really a nice boutique hotel. We had a standard room and it was located quite far from the entrance which wasn't too good. We did ask to change but didn't manage to do so. We were there on our honeymoon and mentioned it on our booking. We got a room with 2 single beds instead and asked for a move. We were pleasently suprise that they gave us a room (not nearer to the entrance) with a double bed, ready with a complimentary cake and a bath all made up. That was really nice of them. We did have problem with getting internet connection with our own notebook. We tried troubleshooting a couple of times and failed and use their PC instead which was rather slow. Not that bad a problem just that we had work to settle. The breakfast was good. As for the beach, it is a walk across the road which is same for all hotels at Kuta. It is very near so don't worry. The hotel I must say was quite a distance to walk to from the main shopping area. Probably 10 minutes walk but you'll feel a lot safer here as it is not as busy as being in the heart of the action. You can talk your first walk and there are plenty to see along the way but you may want to take a cab back which cost a minimum of 80,000 Rupiahs. Addelina Meor Adam , Malaysia
I had a teriffic stay while I was in Bali with my family last week. The hotel, Alam Kulkul was a great place to stay, the food was good, the service was splendid and the room was...just loved it. Its also near to the shops and beach so my kids had a great time. I would certainly recommend the hotel to my friends, family and anyone else. Thanks for a memorable time... Glen Mori, Canada
Considering the price I thought the rooms were average. Sylvia Jeong , United States
A nice large family room with a curtain to divide the sleeping area. The bathtub/shower was quite large and my children loved splashing/swimming in it. The hotel grounds were very lush and green. Great breakfast buffet. You have to walk across a road to get to the beach but this appeared to be the same for all of the hotels on this road. Anyway the road is not terribly busy. great position. Hotel was very quiet due to bombings the week before and it was hard to get a feel of how the place might be during a normal time. Staff were great though and room was excellent. Great view of the famous sunset from the upstairs bar. 2 pools but both quite small and although we had no problem with a sun lounger, due to cancellations, might be a problem if it was full.
