Guy from United Kingdom stayed in a Alam villa for 6 days.
I loved the friendly staff who remembered my name from day 1. They were very helpful when I needed a doctor and were genuinely concerned as I recovered from a bad stomach bug (brought with me .. not caught in Bali!). The restaurant staff prepared meals for me as I recovered (awful rice porridge .. but it did the trick).
Please be patient…

Alam Kul Kul Boutique Resort Reviews
Paul from Australia stayed in a Alam room for 10 days in October.
The hotel staff were very helpful in general areas. I needed to catch a taxi one morning as my husband was sick at 4am, they called a taxi, but was expensive, they called the doctors but $100, I asked security to escort me and they would not. It was a short taxi or walk to medical centre whish was open 24hrs, to buy Nurofen as shops do’nt sell it, need chemist- "called Atopik" or medical centre. We did ask for a late check out as my husband was sick with we think dengue fever, and they allowed us to use the room till 6.20pm. There are a lot of mosquitoes around the hotel, they do spray each afternoon, but this just sends them to your room instead of gardens. The food at the pool area and restaurant is overpriced. Lunch is nice but a little expensive compared to street restaurants, this is usual for most hotels tho. It's nice to sit around the pool and order without paying too much sometimes. We had an Alum room. Spacious enough, the Lani rooms that face the pool are lovely, ground floor. Breakfast was not as nice as we have had compared to Hotel Santika in Tuban. Food was sitting there a while before being served to you. Same food for the whole breakfast service sat in bay maries. Slow service from the kitchen, but always willing to assist. Not a huge variety of foods on offer, but still satisfying, you pay extra if you want a cappuccino, they have a coffee machine but not too nice. The ground floor rooms are a bit dungeon like, so we changed rooms with no problem, staff were very accommodating with this. We were offered an upgrade but at a cost. Free welcome cocktail food and drinks offered on Friday night, lovely. The rooms are a bit of a walk to the front of the hotel, but not an issue, only if sick or you forget something in your room. Overall I would recommend a stay, good location, close to Legian shops, beach restaurants, lane access for food and massage. Hotel spa is beautiful and very good, had 50% off treatments, highly recommend, as staff were very professional.Hotel Facilities

Wonderful food without any msg .Very friendly people. They changed one bed immediately after complaining about it.
Although hotel with lovely seaview, the beach is unfortunately not managed by the hotel. The beach is public area with very poor facilities and local walking and yelling sellers on it.Hotel Facilities

Firstly the great aspects of this hotel : if you want to be in the heart of things this location is excellent. The breakfasts were sensational with the best coffee I have had in Bali - Illy coffee made with a commercial coffee machine. Also handy to have Papa's Cafe out the front where you can charge your meal back to your room.We found the family room size more than adequate but I have to say that the airconditioner and fridge were extremely loud and disrupted everyone's sleep !!I have stayed in many many hotels and have never heard appliances this loud-I found these to be too noisy. For that reason alone we would not return to this hotel. The king size bed also sank to the middle which indicates that it is probably due for replacement. For the price it is a hotel to consider.Hotel Facilities

On the whole it is a good hotel but for the not do delux facilities and service, it is expensive. What upset me a bit is that the management is not transparent about the rates.Hotel Facilities

Low from Singapore stayed in a Alam room for 3 days.
The free 5 mins massage is only from 10am-12noon, which i feel its too short and should not be restricted to these 2 hours first. They should provide at least 15mins, from 9-6pm, by appointment, expressing the genuine offering of a spa experience. US$68 maybe slightly overpriced. Location bit way out from main Kuta area - good & bad. Inconvenient, but more tranquil. Other than that, all are great - FOOD, facilities, services and outlook.Hotel Facilities

The location is good if you prefer a bit of seclusion. The bed in Alam Room is very comfortable. The Hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. The only setback is that the Hotel does not provide body shampoo and shuttle service to airport.Hotel Facilities

The hotel was really a nice boutique hotel. We had a standard room and it was located quite far from the entrance which wasn't too good. We did ask to change but didn't manage to do so. We were there on our honeymoon and mentioned it on our booking. We got a room with 2 single beds instead and asked for a move. We were pleasently suprise that they gave us a room (not nearer to the entrance) with a double bed, ready with a complimentary cake and a bath all made up. That was really nice of them. We did have problem with getting internet connection with our own notebook. We tried troubleshooting a couple of times and failed and use their PC instead which was rather slow. Not that bad a problem just that we had work to settle. The breakfast was good. As for the beach, it is a walk across the road which is same for all hotels at Kuta. It is very near so don't worry. The hotel I must say was quite a distance to walk to from the main shopping area. Probably 10 minutes walk but you'll feel a lot safer here as it is not as busy as being in the heart of the action. You can talk your first walk and there are plenty to see along the way but you may want to take a cab back which cost a minimum of 80,000 Rupiahs.Hotel Facilities

I had a teriffic stay while I was in Bali with my family last week. The hotel, Alam Kulkul was a great place to stay, the food was good, the service was splendid and the room was...just loved it. Its also near to the shops and beach so my kids had a great time. I would certainly recommend the hotel to my friends, family and anyone else. Thanks for a memorable time...Hotel Facilities

Sylvia from United States stayed in a Family room for 2 days.
A nice large family room with a curtain to divide the sleeping area. The bathtub/shower was quite large and my children loved splashing/swimming in it. The hotel grounds were very lush and green. Great breakfast buffet. You have to walk across a road to get to the beach but this appeared to be the same for all of the hotels on this road. Anyway the road is not terribly busy.Hotel Facilities

Lee from United Kingdom stayed in a Alam room for 6 days.
great position. Hotel was very quiet due to bombings the week before and it was hard to get a feel of how the place might be during a normal time. Staff were great though and room was excellent. Great view of the famous sunset from the upstairs bar. 2 pools but both quite small and although we had no problem with a sun lounger, due to cancellations, might be a problem if it was full.Hotel Facilities
