This was expensive by the standards of other cities, but not bad value for Mumbai. My room was clean, quiet, facilities such as wireless worked fine, the breakfasts were splendid, and staff were helpful. Just 50 metres from Marine Parade and close to Churchgate Station, the location suited me very well.

The room is very small with poor decor (i.e. TV is on a table and only English is news - no movies). The rooms were very clean. The service was very good. The resteraunt was very good for dinner but breakfast was average. I paid 200USD per night which puts it up with Taj Pres., Intercon., etc and is no way in the same league. It is a 3 star at best but a good location and had I paid 100USD a night I would have been content. Bad furniture - example is TV on a table. Small pictures on the wall, carpets conflict with curtain, bad view. Nothing in mini-bar but cokes and water. Only two different Indian snacks. No services like a gym, sauna, etc. Only one shop in the hotel but it has some good things. When I called to confirm a reservation I was rotated to 6 different people before sending me back to reservations - not sure why. Once there the staff was very good. No complaints at all for the staff. Breakfast is okay (can't cook an egg though). The othe resteraunt (Societies) was very good. I would eat there even if staying elsewhere. Not much there. They do have a garden on the top circle part of the hotel but it closes at 4. It would be nice if it were open at night for city viewing.
Very close to the beach, shopping, etc. Good clean area. Safe feeling at night.
Taxi's are readily available.

I was given a crappy Executive Room at first where some work was going on a dirty terrace outside. On request I was given a better room afterwards. The location is excellent. The rate is far too high for the standard offerred, however this is normal practice in India. I would give three stars.
