Khajuraho is a very small town with few hotels and no industry other than tourism. Be aware that the hotel staff will not always insulate you from pushy "guides" and others trying to get money out of you. These people are persistent but not threatening and may approach you in the hotel lobby or driveway. Go into it with eyes wide open.
