The rooms were large, clean and comfortable. The hotel staff were brilliant, we were there at the end of their season and a lot of things were closed, the staff went out of their way to suggest places to go. The waiters in the restaraunt were especially friendly. Room service was excellent, the pool area was gorgeous and well kept. Our time spent there was very relaxing....

Very poorly signed in relation to the main road - difficult to find.
Should not be confused with the Sonesta Hotels chain - standards bear no relation to those found in Sonesta Hotels properties in the Middle East.
Staff are unusually apathetic, given the generally high level of service in India.
Breakfast poor; buffet not replenished so that there is less and less available as time goes on. Little evidence of effective management.
Overall, hotel probably provides fair value for money in relation to off-season rates. However, the suggestion in the Rough Guide that this approaches a four-star in quality is very wide of the mark. An underperforming property.
