Le Meridien is a true five star hotel & resort. It is surrounded by lush tropical gardens and is very quiet but only a short distance from the shopping streets like MG Road and Marine Drive. A little far from the town, too far to walk. Taxis or rikshaws are readily available. A bit on the noisy side between room. One night I could hear the loud laughter of the children across the hall throught the ventilation ducts.
The staff are excellent and it is obvious they have had excellent training in catering to guests.
The food, each buffet was sumptious and I must have gained a kilo ot two, ...

Hotel should be reclassified as a 4 Star or Less.Sevice is non existent.Room finishing does not match 5 Star Status.Food selection on menu's at restuarant's are very limited.
