Bikaner Introduction
Like much of India, Bikaner is well worth discovering and our list of comfortable hotels offered at great discount prices will certainly help make your holiday here, one worth serious consideration.

Otherwise known as the Desert City, Bikaner in the state of Rajasthan is an historic destination offering ancient forts and temples, the art and architecture of Hindus and Mughals, and the bleak yet awe-inspiring scenery of the expansive Thar Desert. Considerably less developed from a tourist perspective than major Indian cities such as Bombay, Delhi or Agra, Bikaner retains its traditional cultural charm and displays little or nothing of the commercial spoils evident elsewhere.

Bikaner would not be the first place you would think of booking a holiday for if the entertainment of children was a primary objective as it really isn’t a place well geared to a family holiday. Adults however, keen to check out the place with little ones in tow, will find a small selection of activities suitable for children. Booking into one of the reputable hotels is probably the best move since these invariably have facilities onsite for entertaining kids.

It’s especially enjoyable to see Bikaner during one of its festivals, when the city becomes truly alive and tourists have a better chance of interacting with the locals and learning more about the traditional culture and lifestyle in the city. The best event for tourists to witness is the Bikaner Festival, a truly fun event and great for taking photos and learning more about the resident camels.

Our suite was a dream. Very quiet and relaxing place, full of birds and flowers. Only disappointment: the restaurant- but you have no other place to go for dinner....
