Kheria Airport is the main facility serving Agra and is located just 5kms from the city centre. The airport offers domestic flights only, with the chief connection being with Delhi and provided by Indian Airlines and Air Deccan. The terminal at Agra-Kheria Airport is small and offers basic services and amenities only. Visitors can expect the flight from Delhi to take less than an hour.
The centre of Agra is a motor-vehicle-free zone in order to reduce pollution and minimise the damage to historic buildings from carbon-based emissions; hence the only way to get around, aside from walking, is to take a rickshaw (traditional man-powered vehicle). Getting around on foot is perfectly feasible however, since the city centre is quite compact and easy to negotiate.

For transportation to neighbouring cities, visitors can choose between the bus and the train; neither however, is especially comfortable or reliable. A regular rail connection is maintained between Agra and Delhi, with the 2nd class air-conditioned cars offering the best option for those wanting any degree of comfort.
