Rated #8 for all Agra hotels
As what my friends said about Agra, i couldn't agree more! Agra and surrounding is not a place to visit except Taj Mahal...is dirty etc etc! Fortunate enough Calrk Syiraz save my days in Agra, instead of going sight seeing, i end up most of my time in the hotel, the hotel is superb and everything is to my satisfaction...thank you Clark Shiraz! Keep it up and maintain your excellent service...

Average.
There isnt really that much to say about this hotel. The food is expensive. I had room service which was high quality, and the breakfast was a bit suspect. They didnt have a non-smoking room for me which was irritating for me.
Location-wise it is close-ish to both the Taj and the Fort, in a peaceful place. You can see the Taj from the roof restaurant in the distance.
The room was partially refurbished, with some highly dated features. The common areas are quite dated, but not unpleasant. It was very clean and quite spacious.
The gym wasnt very good, and the pool had slightly murky water, but neither were unusable. i dont think this is a 5* hotel, but in fairness I didnt pay 5* prices so it was not bad value.

Found the Cashier staff most unfriendly, and they tried to overcharge us for internet usage and refused to give a receipt. Also found the shop assistants to be far too agressive for a hotel atmosphere - felt like I was in the local market. As a result we ran out of them and bought nothing! Otherwise hotel was OK.

My overall experience at the hotel was good. The room was cheaper than listings on any other website. Clarks Shiraz is coveniently located 2 kms from the hotel.
After booking through Hoteltravel.com, I called up the hotel to confirm the hotel booking and there was no booking in my name. I immediately informed hoteltravel.com and the service was superb. Within couple of hours i received another e-mail with he confirmation.
I would definitely use Clark Shiraz & hoteltravel.com again.

We stayed only one night. However, we used Bar at rooftop and room service (restaurant was crowded). Food and service was quite good. We also had breakfast at the function room with tourist groups but the food was fine for both of us.
Internet is available near manager room. A night manager let us do the surf there and asked for 100 Rs. for 30 minutes without any receipt. Not sure that the money will go to the hotel or not.
The concierge worked very sufficient. He remembered our driver's name and called him for us.
We enjoyed our stay.. Thank you.

Could do with more sunbeds/chairs around the pool, barely enough. Buffet food rather dissapointing. Staff behind reception appeared to be aloof.

Generally we had a very good time at this hotel - rooms were clean and good value for money, quite close to Taj Mahal. On the negative side - even though booking a Deluxe room, we did not get a Taj facing room. Also, the person at the information desk was unable to answer even the most basic questions. Finally, and untypically for a five-star hotel, beware that the hotel no longer offers accommodation for drivers, so we had to give our driver money to find himself a place to sleep elsewhere.

Not worth paying extra for the Taj View Room which was a tiny dot on the horizon and disappeared when the mist came in. Reasonably comfortable for the cost but could do with some upgrading.
