Rated #43 for all Budapest hotels
Location would have been "excellent", except the surrounding area was not very well lit at night and was a bit run-down. Otherwise, very good value for money, staff were most helpful also. Would recommend it....

The hotel had very small rooms but clean with a minibar. The main draw card was the proximity to he Kelegi train station, which was an easy short walk away. The room was very overpriced for the standard of room, however was comparable to others in the area. I later stayed in a different hotel for the same price in a good location closer to the centre, and the room was more basic but much, much larger, and the breakfast was simple but much, much superior. Extremely small room, otherwise clean and modern. No facilities beyond a a pamphlet shelf, a bar and a breakfast room. Helpful staff at all times. Very basic breakfast. No pastries. Bar- red wine was terrible. Was offered better stuff by a random stranger while hiking in the Bukk Mountains! tv in room and bar are only facilities i could see.
Near Keleti station, so excellent for a next day train journey. Just a little bit too far out to walk to the main central area, and why metro back from dinner when you can walk for the same price? Near to tram/metro/train station. The hotel also arranged my airport transfer, although at a very high price-7800fnt. A fellow traveller got a taxi without bargaining for 5000fnt from the train station, and maybe i would have done worse as it was midnight at the airport with no public transport available.
