When arriving at the huge hotel iron gates, it looked as though we were entering something resembling a prison! However having turned the corner we were suprised (and a little relieved) how modern everything was. It just added to the hungarian charm. Excellent location for all parts of the city, particularly for the price. Very friendly and helpful staff, particularly as one of our reservations hadnt been received but this was all sorted with little fuss. Functional quiet clean rooms and bathroom Great shower! Thoroughly recommend it!...

Good location, but the hotel is dingy and needs refurbishment. The "famous" Matyas Pince restaurant (part of the hotel) with so-called gypsy musicians is a rip-off.

Hotel bedrooms in courtyard were a bit dark, and given the levels of rooms one felt
overlooked by upper floor levels when in the bedroom. The bathroom could have been updated, although it was clean. Reception staff very helpful and friendly.
