We were there for 4 nights, stayed at the new wing on 23rd floor.Travelled with a 2 yr old baby, and they gave us a baby crib/cot free of charge. Concierge and front desk service were excellent. New linens and towels everyday, and 2 bottles of complimentary water, and replenishment of coffee/tea bags. Location is awesome! Money changer/7 eleven and MTR all within 3 mins walk. Food was easy to find in within 1- 10 mins walk (lots of restaurants). Night market is 10 mins away... hotel is 1 block from the busy nathan road, perfect for the quiet night sleep....oh, we did get a free room upgrade t...

This is a solid choice of hotel in HK.They were doing some construction when we were there but kept their promise to keep the noise to a minimum and only work during the afternoon hours.The room was tiny but kept clean. The staff were accommodating if brisk at times. I will return to this hotel when I am in Hong Kong next.

Excellent value for money, especially as i was there for the rugby 7's weekend when hotel prices spiral. For a Hong Kong hotel the room was surprisingly quite large, which made it a more pleasant stay. Finally. the MTR is right outside the back door, so getting around Hong Kong was a doddle.

Was not certain about booking this hotel but was pleased I did as it was much better than expected. Very nice lobby area, friendly staff. My room was on the 23rd floor so no noise, was bigger than I was expecting after reading reviews about room sizes in Hong Kong. Had breakfast in hotel restaurant which was pretty good. Got a voucher for a free drink at the bar when I checked in. The entrance to the underground is just across the road which means you are totally accessible to all of Hong Kong. My only moan is the rip-off prices they were wanting to charge to do laundry. I could have gone out and bought new clothes for the same price they were wanting to wash a couple of shirts and some underwear! I didn't bother.

Initially we try to book a room which can be occupied up to 3 adults however we were told that the room was unavailable. Then we re-book for a Deluxe room and hoping that the room will bigger than normal as expected tiny. We reach around 12pm on our first day of arrival; we then were told that the hotel has arranged a bigger room to us which consists of 1 double bed & 1 single bed. It’s rather a good news for us and we suppose that they have upgraded the room from a Deluxe room to a Premier room (we booked for non-smoking room). After checked in to the room, we found that the room is really clean and spacious. The bath room is big and attached with bathtub as well! The MTR is just around the hotel corner & approximately only 2 mins walk. The hotel is Surrounding of the shops, good foods, street markets….the location is so perfect & convenience. We’ll definitely stay there again as it’s more than worth if charged only at USD 76 per night for such service. We also very thanks to HotelTravel that providing such service for us to enjoy the best offer! We’ll use HotelTravel again in our future trip planning.

The hotel was very convenient location. I can take a bus from airport to the hotel and just walk 3 minutes to the hotel. The mtr is very near to the hotel too, only 2 minutes walk. The location is so convenient that we can always go back to the hotel to put things that we bought and take a shower before proceed to another place. I heard that Hong Kong hotel rooms are very small but I'm surprised to find the room is quite spacious. The room is very clean and the staff are friendly too. I'm most impressed with their security. When I'm back to the hotel at night, there's a security counter to ensure that we are the hotel guest before allowing us to go in. I stayed there for 4 nights and every night, the security is sure there to check. I really had a pleasant stay and I will definitely stay in Cityview again for my next visit to Hong Kong.

A good situated hotel at the Kowloon, near many restaurants and very very close to the train; the hotel is also very well serviced by all means of transport taking you to the main island and the airport. The hotel staff friendly and helpfull, proposed a complimentary upgrade to a premier room upon check in. Not much they can do though for the room size and the room standard; although quite clean , the hotel rooms are rather small and the furniture old and used ( except for the renovated excecutive rooms, which are anyway equaly small). A late check out that i wished for was already organised by the hotel reception before even i asked for it. If ever again at Hong Kong, i might chose to stay again at the Cityview due to its location

I have gotten 3 rooms for all my families, we were a bit skeptical when we booked the hotel, but as soon as we checked in, the front desk staffs, concierge, the chamber maids are all very professionals. We were surprised! Getting to the hotel is easy, there is a complimentary bus To and From the Kowloon airport express station. Most convenient !! Overall, We enjoyed our stay at the hotel and definitely exceeded most of our expectations and most value for money. All of our rooms were upgraded without extra charge. This hotel is highly accessible its just one minute walk away from the Yau Ma Tei MTR station. Right infront of the hotel is a 7-11, less then 10meters away there is another one. Food is ample here, if you like the typical HongKong food, the "Char Chan Teng's" are abundance. All the ladies market , shoes' street are all within walking distance. I will definitely book this hotel again for my next trip , be it business or pleasure.

the best part of staying in this hotel is it's location.
getting to the hotel from the airport was pretty simple - my wife and i took the airport express train to kowloon station, then we proceeded to take the free shuttle to the hotel, it was a pleasant trip.
right across the hotel there is a 7-11 :D which we found pretty convenient (my wife and i bought some cell phone cards here, and some other necessities like water and some snacks)
around the corner is a MTR (subway) station which can practically take you anywhere in hong kong. we used the MTR quite extensively, it's pretty efficient and easy to use.
our package did not include breakfast, and we did not eat at the hotel because there are quite a number of cheap eats within the proximity of the hotel, and we're pretty adventurous when it comes to food. communication may be a barrier, but when the menu has pictures, let your index finger do the talking :D
as for shopping - the hotel is quite near to mongkok where you can find almost anything - electronics (sai yeung choi st); a ladies night market (tung choi st); and sports wear (fa yuen st).
as for the hotel itself, the staff was pretty friendly and courteous. check in was a breeze. the good part was we were upgraded, and to top it off, they gave us a 6pm late check out on our last day.
we were traveling with some friends and the room we got was a bit spacious compared to their room in the other wing.
the trade off was that although our friends room was smaller, their rooms looked newly renovated. new cabinets, furniture, bathroom fixtures etc.
our room was pretty basic.
air-conditioning was pretty sufficient and water pressure in the bathroom was ok, almost instant hot water for showers. bathtub seemed a little small though (my only gripe).
but at 78usd a night who's complaining?
overall i would rate my stay at the hotel 7 out of 10.
oh yeah on sept 1 2008, the hotel's name will be changed to cityview
so i take this as the hotel will be under new management,
with improvements to follow...
er not to mention new rates too..
would i stay at this hotel again? yes, but i would like to see their new rates first. :D

I was not feeling well when I checked in. We arrive at abt 12 noon and were told that the rooms aren't ready yet and the check in time is 2.30pm. We try to explain to them that I wasn't feeling well (having pain and vomiting) and if they could give us a room to rest first. They said they are fully booked. In total we booked 3 rooms, we requested just to have 1 room for me to rest first. In the end we waited till 2.30pm, 3 rooms ready. They should empathise and go the extra mile.

Overall, I am very satisfied with this hotel as it is only 1 min walk from the MTR. The room is also very spacious. However, the concierge gave us the wrong information regarding the check in time at the airport. In the end, we went to the airport too early and could not check in.

I would highly recommend this fantastic hotel to anyone visiting HK. Pleasantly surprised with the room size. Room was kept spotlessly clean. Spend a few days with friends and family in this hotel. Staffs are friendly in general, especially the people at the front desks is great, they are very helpful and posses positive attitude in guests services. Location of the hotel is great, within minutes to the MTR, in the heart of Kowloon, and easy to get around to major shopping area. Found this hotel very convenient, close to Nathan Road, waslking distance to the ladies market and Temple street, Train station just around the corner, Bus in nathan Road takes you down to the Ferry, Excellent budget eateries in the imediate area, good Indian food available just off Nathan road in some of the side streets, couldn' t wish for a more convenient location. Buy an Octopus card for your travel on the public transport, easy to get to the Peak and Disney World, and across to H.K.island by ferry. Watch out for pickpockets, they are vey quick.

when we arrived hotel for they upgraded us to 2 premium room from delux room. So i have no idea bout delux room but premium room was specious and modern. Tv had different channels for any taste. bathroom and twilet clean. we used Bus line A 21 from Air port to hoel for HK $33 each took about an hour but cheapest one. location is perfect. close to ladies market, jade market, close to MTR. polite staff. next time i will stay this hotel.

Second time in this hotel. This time I stayed on hill side. The room was smaller than street side but better view. However, room was bigger than other 3 stars hotel. Reception was not friendly but I could get information and helps from bel-boy. The room was clean but a bit difficult for stand showering. Good location for Mong Kog and Temple street shopping.l

My family and I stayed in the hotel recently and it was definitely value for money. MTR station is within walking distance and best of all eateries were round the corner. Our primary reason for selecting this hotel is its proximity to the subway station. Second, it is conveniently located to shopping areas. The rooms, though not luxurious, are nice, spacious and comfortable with all of the amenities we need. The in-room safe is ar feature I like and finally I appreciate the empty refrigerator because it allows me to purchase beverages of my own choice rather than pay over-priced hotel rates. Spacious enough for two people. I liked the in-room safe. Other hotels were gracious about confirming flight reservations for us while YMCA did not. Housekeeping was very prompt about making up the room.
Usually, the concierge immediately comes to handle the luggage upon our arrival but this time, they were very slow and we had to practically unload ourselves.
Primarily because of its location and very reasonable prices, I would recommend this hotel to my friends. Close to the subway station and bus stop. It is not on Nathan Road, probably the noisiest and busiest street in Kowloon. Airport hotel shuttle stops at the YMCA International House.

Friendly and courteous service. Deluxe room was on par with an average U.S. Holiday Inn room. Extremely small but clean bathroom. Great location--just off Nathan Rd. and across street from a MTR station. Front desk pushes hard to sell a HK$80 voucher good for a breakfast buffet, an afternoon tea or a dim sum sampler set. I used is for dim sum "dinner" option and all I got was two pieces of dim sum and a small plate of crispy skinned chicken. It could be called a snack at best. I ended up spending another HK$60 for a bowl of fried rice.

Location is good given its proxy (5 mins) to the Yau Ma Tei MTR Station. Less than ten minutes walking distance from the Ladies market and there is no shortage of good food. For that matter, Hongkong definitely has lots of good food to offer. Can't comment on the hotel facilities because we didn't use it. The room is clean including the bathroom. Only thing is it is a bit small but for the money that we paid it is acceptable.

The location is fantastic, just 2 minutes walk to the MTR. We was upgraded to the new wing and had a hill view. It was a pleasant surprise for us. With the price we paid it was worth every cent getting the view. The downside was the unpredictable weather which resulted in us braving the cold and not having a heater to keep us warm even after turning up the aircon temperature. In the end we up just switch off the aircon. But the hotel staff brought extra blankets for us which was a great help.

THe YMCA Int. House is directly located at the Sub-station: Yau Ma Tei, which takes you everywhere. Shops, Food Outlets and Markets are just around the corner. Although the hotel is in a very busy corner, it is amazingly quiet. The rooms are small, but clean and nice. The bathroom is very small and could do with a bit more cleanliness.
