I have stayed here five times. Staff very friendly, professional and speak English. Location is wonderful, Near night markets and many resturants near by. Close to all public transportation. All Hong Kong rooms are small. Very clean! Small hotel with only a few rooms on each floor.
Very good bar and Dim Sum. Business center open 24/7. HK rooms are very expensive...this is a reasonal price for all its convenance...

L am sad to say that my stay at the standford was less than ordinary. the room was awfully small, no space to put my suitcase and very very cramped. The reception staff were not very helpful at all for giving directions. I had asked for a taxi to be organised early morning so i could catch my plane...did not happen. I will not , nor recommend anyone stay here for the price. If I spent a quarter of what i spent here than I would have been satisfied

Greeted by very friendly staff on arrival, Bar & Restaurant excellent service, food good. Rooms large, comfortable and very clean. Close proximity to transport, shopping made our stay here very enjoyable. Late checkout extended to us was most helpful as our flight was not departing until 7.25pm. Everything is good except that computer wireless connection is constraint to guestroom and business centre. It should be offered free like other hotels I have stayed before. Hotel star rating is better than I expected. I give it 3.5 star. If improvements are made it can be upgraded to local 4 star. The best things of this hotel is its location very near to shopping, eateries outlets, anything you need for family vacation. The housekeeping staff are very courteous and helpful. I will stay here again if I am coming for shopping, eating and family vacation.

First of all, Mongkok is a very crowded area with cheap shopping. The area is filled with cafeteria, market stalls and afforadable clothes in the local shops. 2 ways to get to the hotel, one is by taxi from airport , the other is to take the Airbus A21 to Mongkok, Stop at the 8th bus stop from airport (right infront of Sino Centre), turn left after getting off, walk till end of building and turn right into the streets. head straight down and in 8mins or so u shd reach the hotel which is at the end of the road. Along the way is an interesting sight as u will pass by the ladies' market, 7-eleven (shd u need to buy drinks to the room) and some foodstalls selling duck wings, smelly toufu and curry fishballs. The hotel looks small but well mantained, check in was rather fast (do highlight smoking room/non-smoking room). Standard double room which consists of a queen size bed is small, enough for 2 luggages to be neatly tucked against the wall leaving a small passage for walking. There were 3 of us, so it felt even more tiny. We had no issue on the queen size bed as it could accomodate 3 average sized gals comfortably. The TV reception was clear, the heater worked well and everything was in working condition, they provide a hairdryer stored in one of the drawers too. Getting food, drinks, medicine from chinese pharmacies, convenient stores, taxi etc was not at all difficult, they were everywhere and it was easily at the snap of your finger. All was great and going until the very morning prior to check out when one of the gals realized bruises on her caused by bed bugs. However, the other 2 of us who shared the bed as well were perfectly unaffected by any bites. So it could be due to her ultra sensitive skin and nothing else.... U decide..... Overall, a good hotel worth to be considered in Mongkok area if you can get it at a good rate.... Airbus was $33 Hkg dollars (approx $6.60 SGD) and the hotel rate at USD $69 (approx $96.00 SGD) per night from hoteltravel. Simply unbeatable...........

hotel is surrounded with street markets, shops and variety of food. though certain distance of walking is necessary to get a transportation, the path towards it is much of an entertainment den trouble.but if u're not a walking person, it could be tough for u as e hotel is situated more to the end of a street (rather indepth), shoppers shouldn't have a problem with it.i believe one best part abt the hotel is the check-out timing. (i deemed that most hotel would request occupants to check-out ard 1pm.) standford hotel actually allows me to check-out at 6pm even WITHOUT requesting which suits my flight timing 8.15pm just right. needless to actually worry abt my suitcase idling at the lobby. thumbs up!

I stayed for 4 nights and during my whole stays the cleaner never change my bed sheets as well the glasses and tea cups. Also the trash bin never been emptied out 100%, always something left.
Location is excellent,many eateries within 5 mins walk and very close to Mongkok MTR (10 mins) and ladies market.

The room is incredibly small. After putting the luggage, it becomes quite cramp in the room. The train station is also not as near to the MTR as I've thought. It takes about 10mins to walk to the MTR. What i liked most is that the hotel is super near to the ladies market and other shopping places and that the hotel is generally clean. Some of the hotel staff there were very helpful too.

No bathtub. No safe deposit box. Inflexible with late checkouts, had to pay HKD50 for every hour extension. No complimentary water. No newspapers. Fixed shower head. Measly toiletries. we have booked two rooms from this hotel, one with triple beds and the other one with twin beds. The beds in the triple room had bed bugs, my mom and sister were bitten by the bug and couldn't slept well the 1st nite and after informing the reception officer, they sent somebody to spray the whole room. The problem solved lastly.
Basically, the location of this hotel is strategic with a lot of eateries and convenient stores around.

Staff were busy but helpful in arranging for extra bed which Hoteltravel & other travel agents could not secure. Rooms were very clean and more spacious than we expected. Very clean. Cleanest among all the 3-stars HK hotels i've been to. Room size is very reasonable for the price. Location is great, very near to ladies market and MRT (Yau Ma Tei or Mongkok). Fantastic value for money.

Good points:
1. excellent maintenance, always ask us if we want to clean our rooms even with a do not disturb sign
2. morning call, very puntual. they will send someone up if you don't answer the phone
3. close to a lot of shopping areas and local restaurants
4. quite close to Monk Kok MTR and KCR stations
Bad points:
1. no safe box in our room, it's at the front desk which is very inconvient
2. closet space is very small with no doors and no drawers to store clothing
3. no slippers

The hotel vicinity has many eateries and is very convenient. Hoteltravel. com has done a good job too by requesting the hotel for late check out at 6pm. The latter is convenient for us as our flight is 8pm plus.

What I like most is the cleanness of the room, the friendness of the restaurant staff, and the location. Even though the size of room is quite small, but considering the season, it worths the money.

This hotel is in a good location close to the ladies market and many other shops and local food places which are quite tasty. Good overall for a stay of 1-2 weeks and with much eating and shopping nearby. Shops open late and choice of food is plenty with decent prices. My only minor issue is the location as it is about 2 to 3 blocks (about 10 mins) walk to the nearest train stop though the hotel has a shuttle to the main train station and it's other property in tsim tsa shui. However, there are many buses at the bus stop area near a park one block from the hotel. Overall, for the price, the location is the best you can get for this grade of hotel. I humbly justify this as i have experienced camping in the remote jungle to five star +++ fullerton singapore luxury many times before.

It is the best place for me. Not far from MTR, the best shopping area, a lot of places where you can take food any time. The Hotel is good, rooms are not so big, but not too small. Hotel is not old, clean. Not far from KCR station Mngkok if you need to follow China (Shenzhen).
Only the internet is wireless and you need to pay more money and have the Wi Fi notebook.

I will stay in this hotel again because it's value for money. It is in the middle of mongkok which is very convenien to take public transports and many shops for shopping and food to eat. Most of the shops near this hotel open until midnight so we can walk around until late at night still very bright and safe.
