Disappointment: was mentioned "with swimming pool", but is an outdoor one, which was closed at this time of the year! Rest was good: big room and very comfortable kingsize bed...

The hotel is a long way from anything of interest. Taking tours meant getting up extremely early to get a bus to the tour start point. On checkout the bill showed a charge for the mini bar which we had not used. We were told that it was for the tea bags we had used, $20HKD per tea bag! In every other hotel in the world the tea and coffee making facilities are free! Very few places to eat or see around the hotel. Evening trips to anywhere were not really an option because of the distance from the hotel. Overall I would not reccommend this hotel at all.

This was our first stay in a hotel in Hong Kong, and starting with the hotel itself, it was excellent. The staff were helpful and polite. We booked a standard room, and found it was surprisingly spacious and the bed was queen size, which we didn't expect. It even had a fair sized lounge area with a corner-sofa, which is usually what you'd associate with a 5 star hotel. It was clean, and had all the amenities you could ask for. However, the location was poor and felt quitte insecure outside at night. When returning, we had to use an underpath, which was dark, quiet and claustophobic, to get to the hotel. We did not use the hotel shuttlebus (Which was probably silly of us), which meant the price of a bus journey to the shopping districts were long and rather expensive. The nearest MTR is Sha Tin, which takes around 15 - 20 minutes to walk to. For a nice and decent priced hotel, go for it. But location wise, I don't recommend it.
