What a fabulous experience! Arriving about midnight, exhausted I was greeted by warm, friendly staff who made me feel like a celebrity. Even the bar attendent gave me a complimentary bowl of nibbles as the kitchen was closed. The room overlooked the harbour and was pleasantly large by Hong Kong standards with a spacious ensuite. Each day we returned to find it impeccably cleaned. A wonderful daily breakfast buffet was included in our room rate which was another pleasant surprise. Convenient hotel location for the area. However, had to wait for three hours for room. Arrived at 8:30AM and this hotel would not release room until 11:45AM. Could a possible reason be the rate paid and arranged through Ctrip???

The check in service is poor there this time. The employee lady wanted to sale breakfest sets to me and promise to upgrade room class same time. When I expressed that I prefer to have breakfest outside, the lady was unhappy and then gave me lowest class room. I ever liveed this hotel 4 times recent years, the experience this time made me quite disappointment. I hope the leaders of this hotel could train their employees being more professionnal but not so press to customers.

I chose this hotel because (a) I lived there for 5 years between 2002 and 2007, (b) it is in a good location, and (c) the value for money was as good as I could get over Chinese New Year. The room was very small, but probably on a par with most HK hotels below luxury standard. Most staff were very friendly but possibly only because we knew each other. New staff (employed since we left in June 2007) were not so friendly.

This being my first hotel booking online, I made sure I had all info about the bookings ready including payment details from my bank and contact details etc. However, check-in was a breeze with no hassle at all. Concierge and room service were excellent and the room was made up very promptly every day. It was not in the middle of the hussle and bustle of Tsim Sha Tsui but very close (1 train station away) but perfect for me and family - safer environment. I would come back again and for sure I'll make my bookings next through Hotel.Travel.

The hotel was a good hotel. The rooms were clean, but small. Nice view. There was a great breakfast which we enjoyed and the view from the lounge was spectacular.
The staff were friendly, but some did not speak English. The gym was very nice.

On arrival, I upgraded to Harbour Club level on the 20th floor This was an excellent deal. The club lounge has an outstanding 270 degree view of Hong Kong Island and lower Kowloon. Good service at club level and I was offered checkout at 4 in the afternoon. Breakfast in the club lounge was nothing special, but the evening nibbles and drinks were welcome. The room on the club floor was very spacious for a Hong Kong hotel room and included a print/fax machine and a DVD player. Very nice pool and sauna. The only negative about the hotel is its location. Hong Hum is a bit out of the way. There is no MTR nearby and not much to see or do in the area. The hotel runs a punctual shuttle service every 20 minutes to Kowloon. The hotel, however, is excellent value for money if you don't mind Hong Hum. I will stay here again when I am next in Hong Kong.

Very nice and clean hotel. We had Queen size beds in 2 rooms. There is DVD player, printer and fax machine in the room. This is very good combination for us to work a little while the children occupied themselves with the movies in DVDs. Getting around is easy with nearby train, taxi and even ferry to Hong Kong island. Corcierge is friendly and efficient to give advice on where about. The hotel is connected to Metropolis shopping mall. Very close to Hunghom KCR station only 5 minute walk; the hotel provides free shuttle bus services to Kowloon Hotel near ferry terminal every 20 minutes. I stayed at suite room with complete kitchen set. It can accomodate 4 persons with one big extrabed. The swimming pool is marvellous. In fact this is a 4 star hotel with 5 star services and facilities. I highly recommend this hotel.

I loved the hotel, the lobby and views were great and i loved the free shuttle bus down to town. The real draw back was the room size, tiny even by Hong Kong standards, so tiny, we didn't have enough room to lay out our two suitcases, although these were standard rooms. The upkeep however was very good and the evening buffet was excellent. The hotel is too far from public transport to go anywhere on foot easily and you need to take the free shuttle bus or a taxi. Room size aside, i really loved this hotel.

This is my second time staying in Metropolis and it"s never let me down. To mu surprise, in this stay, I can enjoy free breakfast even though the quality is average (because I did not include this during booking). However, the view at the lounge which is located at the top floor of the hotel impressed me. i can see the panorama of the view of Hunghom!!
Other than the free breakfast (I still don't know why??), I like swimming in the hotel pool partly because of the view and partly because of its peaceful environment.

We booked a family suite which I think would be on the small side if more than 2 people stayed in room.
Getting there from the airport was very easy considering I have never been into town before, we took the express train from airport to Kowloon station and free shuttle bus drops you at the door.
The cleaning staff were excellent as we put the do not disturb sign on the the door and were not leaving the room till after midday every day there was no annoying knocking on door and when ever we returned later in the evening the room was clean.
Buffet meals very good and well priced. The shuttle bus to take you into town was excellent and the management should be proud that they run this service.
Staff were always very helpful, when ever you want to go some where different, there was no problem for them to arrange taxis and translate your destination to drivers.
Having a shopping mall attached to the hotel was excellent also, where you could go to the supermarket and buy snacks and drinks around quarter of the price compared to mini bar in room.
Fitting are starting to show there age and hopefully in the future these will be changed out.
Over all excellent stay and as long as the shuttle bus is in service we will stop there again.

The hotel was well situated; close to the KCR and a short walk to the harbour. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful and made our stay very pleasant. Unfortunately, the room next to ours needed some maintenance work, and one afternoon they were drilling the wall for one hour until we called guest services and complained. The drilling stopped after our telephone call.

Excellent restaurant- they must have a very fine pastry chef working there at the moment- the desserts were divine! Beds were v. hard, and if you want non-smoking, you best be ready for "ex-smokers" room. Otherwise if you can put up with that, great location and facilities

This was extremely good value for money and a very pleasant stay. Staff were friendly and helpful and the room was unusually big and well furnished. The view over Victoria Harbour was beautiful (even though we did not ask for this) and although slightly more distant from the bulk of hotels in Tsim Tsa Tsui the location was fine with easy access to the ferry and public transport.
