the shuttle service was really good and helpful to get in and around Tsim sha Tsui. we checked in an hour before the check in time and was given a club floor room so our room was bigger than the standard size. the room is always tidied up every time we go out. the room was comfortable although the hotel is a bit far from the the main attractions and other tourists area.

The free shuttle buses were of great use. Staff were very efficient. When I required a scale, it was sent to my room straight away and was left there as long as i needed it to. Room was average, but it was clean.Hotel was extremely close to Mongkok station and mongkok shops including ladies markets and nathan road shopping. The swimming pool was nice and there was even a gym with the wii game. Well worth the money.

1st of all, we have to get to the hotel by cab cos we can't find the spot where the shuttle bus service was supposed to appear as stated on the hotel's official website itself. It stated Tsim Sha Tsui in general only. It'd be good if there's a map on where the shuttle bus is supposed to pick the passengers up.2nd, the hotel is quite near ladies market so just take the shuttle bus and alight just a street away from Ladies Market or Mongkok MTR.3rd, a SPACIOUS COMFORT room isn't that SPACIOUS, so I can't imagine what a standard room will be.4th, quite a walking distance, around 10 minutes walk if you plan to walk back from Mongkok MTR. lastly and overall, the staffs are pretty much helpful and courteous. Great attitude and help for 1st time travellers like myself.

Th Hotel has a near walking distance to the famous ladies market and sport street, no problem for my family to look for local food for breakfast and dinner.
The hotel staff are helpful and courtesy, our room is always clean when we are back, I like the iden on installing a soap and shampoo dispenser in the bathroom, it made us easy to shower and feel like home, never worry to run out of shampoo and soap. I like the LCD television, it is big and I enjoy watching the shows.
The hotel provide free transport to nearby MTR every half an hour, it save us transport tripwhen we are going to Tsim Sha Tsui. But we have to go down about 15min early before the bus depart as it usually full.
Overall, we enjoy our stay there and would choose this hotel when we are back to Hong Kong again.

I enjoyed the shuttle service to and from the hotel into Tsim Sha Tsui. Though, our room was small, it was clean. We found the noise level high from the surrounding rooms and the elevator area. The pool and the fitness area was great. There was internet in the lobby. Though, they only had two PCs and they are in a very non-private area. Also there was always a que to use the PCs and you had to pay a small fee for every ten minutes.

Although this hotel is at Mong Kok, there is a free shuttle to Tsim Sha Tsui. I pesonally found it better than staying in Tsim Sha Tsui, first of the rooms are bigger for you money and the second shopping at Mong Kok is better. The service at this hotel was excellent and I am definatley staying here again when I am back in Hong Kong.Shuttle bus to Mong Kok and Tsim Sha Tsui. Close to bus and mong kok metro station. Modern rooms, free interenet, large flat screen LCD TV and also quite large size.

We checked in around 2 pm and we have to wait quite a while and we haven't got our lunch cause we travel by ferry from Macau and Kuala Lumpur..so we told the guy that we will have our lunch first and we came back around 2.45pm and the room still not ready and have to wait another 20 min. But the hotel gave us 2 triple rooms ( we booked only 1 room triple) so it kinda worthed to wait for. The location is very good, very near to Mongkok area and the shuttle bus also on time. The rooms are clean and nice but we don't know about the food cause we always eat outside. I definitely will come back again to stay in this hotel if I go to Hongkong.

Not much to look at from the street. But when you get inside it is very luxurious. First thing that reception did at check in was to upgrade our room to the 15th floor (executive suites). Probably due to the fact that when we first requested a standard room at $74usd they told us that there were no more rooms at that price. Hotel/Travel.com then offered us a Compact Spacious Room at $95usd and we took it. We asked for a smoking room. When we checked the Receptionist had to ask his supervisor a qestion and when he came back he told us he was upgrading our room. However he did not give us the full upgrade package, i.e free newspaper, contenental breakfast, and use of executive work center (free internet). Since we never did see either a standard room or Compact Spacious we can only say that the executive suite was well above our expectations. The staff was professional, the restaurants are pricey but the food in the buffets was excellent and if you get a chance to use the $50hkd resident coupon then the sticker shock is lessened. However as all high end restaurants do there is 10% service charge (tip) automatically included in the bill along with taxes. Overall Hong Kong seemed more expensive than what i remember from a visit I made back in 1967???

The location of the hotel is not shopping friendly but luckily it has a free hotel shuttlebus to the Mongkok and TsimShaTsui every 30mins which is very convenient. The receptions (morning or night shifts) are very polite and helpful. It will be handy if you print all email confirmation as well as hotel vouchers when check in as proofs. Overall the stay in the hotel is pleasant and I like the roast duck/chicken/pork shop next to the hotel best.

I liked the free pick-up from the airport. The hotel is located in a convenient area to shop, dine, and go sightseeing. The check-in was very slow though and you have to travel upstairs to check-in, but they want you to leave your bags below while you go upstairs. Downstairs, by the bakery, you can book tours and they start early if you want. Exchange money outside by the door for a better exchange rate and not at the front desk. Enjoy!

Best service provided was the shuttle bus, even though it is very regimented on the two only stops. Worst thing in the hotel is the swimming pool which is set at a temperature 1 degree higher than the air temperature, it is no relief from the heat swimming in 34 degree water.

the hotel is kinda far from the major shopping district and we had to walk a 15mins walk back after each day. but the good thing abt it was that they provide free shuttter service to Mongkok and TST. great environment as it's away from the hustle of the shopping areas. food is plenty as there's cafes and bakeries nearby. very clean rooms and friendly helpful staff. thumbs up!
do figure out your way to the hotel before hand because it's a little tricky to get there if you get off on Nathan Rd via the airport bus service. can always approach people on streets for directions if you think you're lost :)

Some of the staff were rather unwilling to help but of course there were some who were very willing to help when asked.
Shuttle bus was provided but the waiting time for the bus was way toooo long.
In fact, walking over to Mongkok would have been much faster, even though it can be quite a distance away.
But the nice cool weather made it a nice walk tho.
Bakery's offer of bread and cakes weren't that fantastic. Limited and tasted average.
Food found in the Mongkok area was much nicer.
Water leaked from the bathroom's WC and the free broadband lagged terribly at night. The best times to use it would be early in the morning.

I used to only choose hotels in close vicinity of the Mass Transit Railway. During this first stay, I found that this hotel is quite convenient despite the MTR is a 15 minutes walk. Also, there are many other options in terms of transportation here. Not to mention the hotel shuttle and taxi, there are several public buses stopping almost at the entrance of the hotel from Tsim Sha Tsui, and some via cross-harbor tunnel lines from the Hong Kong Island side. If you want to take the train, the Mongkok Station is only 10 minutes walk. There are also quite a number of eating places and shops around the hotel if you get sick and tired of the hotel food. Overall, this hotel is a good choice if you are not looking for 5-star facilities, a good value for your money! I'm glad I tried it out. Will sure consider coming back on my next trip to Hong Kong.

The swimming pool was small, just a pool for relaxing rather than swimming. The distance to the MTR was abit far off, but the bonus was that the hotel provides shuttle bus for us at every hour. I'm very happy with metropole hotel! This was our second stay. I liked our first stay better because it was a non smoking room. Our room had a little odor problem but was fairly bearable. The Service Staff is very friendly and efficient. Why do I say so? My mother was having food poisioning during her trip HK. The room is very dirty and smelled after she use for 1/2 a day. We request for room change and less than 20 min, we have shifted into a clean and tidy room without any charge.

Forty years ago it might just have been 3/4 star, but now it is in need of renovation; eg the electric fittings were poor and the bathroom faded. Staff were very poor in english. My greatest moment came when I used the laundry service, but failed to check the price first; $800 hk for five items of clothing (which collectively were not werth the cost of the laundry) ! I feel ripped-off but put it down to my own gullibility, although it is interesting that none of the two local laundries I tried would accept my laundry. Perhaps they got a beeter price via the hotels. I would rather, with hindsight, have paid the money and stayed at the Harbour Plaza; I've stayed there before, in 1999, and it's expensive but value for money. But Mong Kok (The Metropole) is an interesting and lively area to stay and wander.

The bed and the furniture is quite old although its quite clean. I was amazed with the shuttle bus service which help make my stay so accessible to the ladys market as well as to tsimtsatsui area.I am just hoping the renovation work will end so soon because it will make your stay more wonderful. Iam also grateful with the free internet services they offer inside your room. I am recommending this hotel to my friends.

everything was most satisfactory other than the room was cold. There was a sign saying not to switch off the air conditioning as it would set off the fire alarm. We were so cold in the room that it made our stay uncomfortable and miserable. For this reason I would not use the hotel again.

this hotel was ok but the rooms are very small and when i was there the pool was closed which was a disapointment because the pool is on the very top floor and and gives an amasing view of the city from up top.the restuarant and lounge in the hotel was very good and the staff were quit friendly .
