In terms of location for Muslims it is excellent as there are many Halal eateries within short walking distance. It is also closley located to the Tsim Tsa Shui train station and makes access to many places easy. For the price paid, the Deluxe room was comfortable and decent sized and not cramped like some of other hotels of equal category in the area.

i like the location and the attentiveness of the staff. the hotel is very clean but, the safe in my room does not work. i didn't bother to have them fix it coz i intended to bring my valuables with me anyway. the room size is fine for a claustrophobic like me. i think the rate is too high and could still be lowered but overall, it was a wonderful stay in an excellent hotel. i would definitely go back to holiday inn, golden mile.

Priority Check in took ages, room run down, not giving a clean feeling, dusting etc every few days, bathroom old. No hotel directory, not even on request....We were talked into an uprade and wondered where it is....it was a normal room with the cleanyness missing. Asking twice what the upgrade is compared with standard room, was told, there is no difference, only that upgrade room have been totally renovated 2 month ago!!! The old carpet and furniture did not show it. The bathroom was the same as 28 years ago at my last visit. Bath tub only for shower etc. etc. For this price, specially with extra upgrad, I expect much better. Big deal to get extra coat hangers!! No iron in room nor ironing room in hotel. We stayed 10 nights with some receptions and a wedding to attend, so had obviously more cloth. Never again. There are newer and better hotels around for the money. Bar stinking of smoke with very dated furniture. Hall carpet filthy, could see where a table was removed and a clean beige cross showed where the table legs where. Impression not very good, specially that we did not know where to sit briefly with visiting friends.

hotel was in a good position to star ferry etc. shopping not so good but a few streets uptown fixed that. hawkers outside hotel day and night drove us mad. They are so persistent and wont take no for an answer. Room breakfast was good value and the pool very pleasant and a must after a big day. Closing at 9pm was a little early sometimes 10pm would be better. The bar was terrible with smoke a real problem. Men were smoking big cigars and by 9.00pm we couldnt breathe. This was my only real complaint as the hotel was very comfortable.

Communication problem from the booking agency in that we didn't get the interleading rooms we asked for. Eventually got rooms across from each other on the 4th floor but both rooms had grotty views of the fire escapes of other buildings. The foyer is beautiful and the location is excellent but I found the rooms very basic and a bit claustrophobic.

The hotel was really near the MTR TST station which was exactly what i wanted. We asked for triple sharing and what we got was two queen size bed and one single bed. This was above our expectation. However with the extra bed, the room was a bit cramped but bearable. The service was prompt. When we asked for extra towels and the complimentary mineral water , we got a really fast response. Overall it was a good and comfortable stay for myself , my wife and my 3 children.

We would definetly stay in the same hotel when we go back to Hong Kong. We would highly reccomend the hotel to our friends. The location is perfect, the staff were friendly and helpful. Although I booked for a non-smoking room initially, at the time of checking in I was informed that I was best to upgrade to one of their newly renovated rooms (for extra charge) because the existing non-smoking rooms still smells like cigarettes. Since I have children with me, I didn't really wanted my children inhaling air in asmoke-smelling room so I reluctantly upgraded for extra charged which i wasn't very happy about.
