Langham Hotel (Great Eagle Hotel)

"This is an absolutely top notch hotel. Unless this is your first visit to Hong Kong, and you desperately want a harbour view, it is a wonderful choice. The staff was terrific, and the great service started at the airport when we went to their area in arrivals. Rooms had lovely furniture with a lot of space for our belongings. We booked a standard room, but were offered the opportunity to upgrade to the club floor for HK$300 plus , which was a great value. It included breakfast, beverages and snacks all day, afternoon tea, and cocktails in the evening, and unlimited free laundry and pressing -- a great bonus in the warm, humid Hong Kong summer. "

"The Langham is a true 5-star hotel. The staff was extremely professional, friendly and willing to help. Because of the length of our stay we were upgraded to a delux room. We were extremely happy with the size of the room including a small sitting area where we could relax at the end of each long day. Fruit and bottled water were always available each day. Prior to arriving in Hong Kong we were apprehensive about the hotel room because of all the prior reviews we had read (not about the Langham, but HK in general) describing small rooms, miniscual bath rooms, etc. To our surprise, none of that could be said about the Langham. Upon arrival, we walked into a fabulously decorated hotel lobby to smiling faces everywhere. All aspects of our check-in were handled efficiently. The pool and health center are top notch and should be used if you have time. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Hong Kong (business or leisure)."
