We used triple room with extra bed and found that we were bited by bugs on our last night. And location of hotel is quite far from MTR station which we have to use public transportation and taxi from/to hotel. JUNJIE HUANG, Singapore
I loved the fact that the tram stop was so conveniently located infront of the hotel! Plus there's lots of good food around the area along with local non-tourist centric shops to explore! Capt peter Smith, Australia
This is the 2nd time I have stayed at this hotel and it was just as good. Transport to inner Hong Kong is just so easy with the tram stopping ouside. It was a very memorable stay. Thankyou hotel travel. A HotelTravel.com Member, United States
The location near a tram stop and the airbus stop was great. There were bed bugs in one of my rooms which did not please me.

The hotel is good but the location is a bit off the tourist path and a bit out of the way of everything else. The district improves a lot when you walk north up the hill. Count on taking transportation out of the area before touring. We were upgraded from a standard room to a junior suite so we had a lot more space than we expected. The hotel is new and the furnishings are new. The breakfast room had no windows and the food was not as good as other hotels. The Chinese resterant was good for dimsum lunch. The front desk was okay but the front doors open to a busy street with no place to get on to taxis and the door man is not around most of the time. Breakfast was average or below. Chinese resterant was okay. Rooms and common areas were kept clean. Internet service is expensive and cannot be ordered from the room. Have to go to front desk to get a card. The connection is slow for broadband. Hotel is located in a non tourist area and need to take public transportation to get out of the area. The tram stops in front of the hotel. Bus to the airport is close by. Taxis are hard to get and get off because the front of the hotel is a no stopping zone. A HotelTravel.com Member, India
The hotel is good, but they charge you for the internet a lot..which is very expensive. the hotel dosent provide you free interne...it really sucks!!! they charge u $25 hk per hour which is very expensive... A HotelTravel.com Member, United States
My biggest complaint was the absence of free internet! For business travelers, it can be annoying to have to pay for internet, when most other hotels offer it for free. A HotelTravel.com Member, Singapore
The location of the hotel is at the western part of Sheung Wan on Hong Kong island. It is not close to any MTR station however it is just around 5mins to Sheung Wan MTR and 10mins to Hong Kong MTR which will cost you around 20 to 30HKD respectively. A plus point is that there is a tram stop right in front of the hotel coming from Causeway Bay. From the hotel please cross to the opposite tram station that will take you to the eastern part of the island. The hotel shuttle will bring you to the IFC(where HK MTR and Airport Express line is) where you can take the star ferry to Kowloon, prior to that it will also alight you at the Macau ferry terminal(where Shun Tak Centre and Sheung Wan MTR is) where you can get the ferry tickets and board the ferry to Macao. The room is not that big but there are room for baggage and shopping bags. The location is quiet so you should not expect much noises. There aren't any entertainment spots around but you can find some good food (dinner and morning Dim Sum) at the Chinese restaurant beside the hotel. The room is clean and no smell at all, I was staying 2 nights at a smoking floor checking out to stay over 1 night in Macao and back for another 2 nights in HK at a non smoking floor instead. The hotel allow you to leave your baggage with them for 1 night however they will charge 5HKD for every piece of baggage, I guess it is the same for other hotels. Overall, the service of this hotel is good and will be back again :) John Angus, United Kingdom
The facilities at the Ramada Hong Kong may not be the best - the breakfast buffet leaves a lot to be desired, the gym facilities are rather poor and the MTV Club bar is rather spartan - but the positives make these issues of little importance. I suppose it depends on what you expect to use the hotel for and your needs whilst in Hong Kong.
I find the hotel location excellent. Situated in a quiet part of the island (which feels safe even at night) there are no bars and the associated nightlife noise, drunks or annoying 'bar girls' that you can expect in areas like Wan Chai. However, if this is what you like, there are excellent transport links - with a tram stop outside the hotel front door and regular bus services to all parts of the island. Although taxis cannot stop directly outside the front door, they will drop you off by the small side entrance on Water Street and pass by the hotel regularly enough for journeys to other districts.
The A12 airport bus (approx HKD45 for a 30 minute trip) picks up on the opposite side of the street and drops off on the main road close to the hotel. This saves both time, inconvenience and money if travelling without too many bags. There is a 50% discount on a same day return trip if using an Octopus card. The hotel offers a shuttle bus to Central Harbour area.
There are plenty of small convenience stores within a minutes walk for simple needs and enough cheap, basic cafes to compensate for the rather dull hotel breakfast (which is not incuded in the room rate anyway and will cost extra).
The rooms are superb! Clean and well furnished, they are relatively well sized in comparison with other hotels in Hong Kong. They smell fresh and certain floors are entirely non-smoking. The housekeeping is of a good standard without being intrusive. A telephone call can provide any extras (e.g. an iron for those creased clothes) that are not already in the room. There are plenty of towels and they are regularly changed. Those who like to soak in a bath will be disappointed as there is only a shower cubical in the room.
The front desk staff are excellent, helpful and speak good english. They do not keep you waiting too long (even when busy) and will answer any questions. There is a small tour agent in the lobby (although I cannot comment on the service or prices as I did not use it) and the hotel will also look after your bags - useful if you have a late flight. The hotel has three computer terminals which can provide internet access by buying a passcard from the reception.
I have never seen any children at the hotel or young teens/adults and would not recommend it for a family stay as there are no facilities to cater for these. I would consider this hotel more suitable for thiose who prefer a quiet location and are not afraid to explore using public transport.
Well sized by Hong Kong standards, but still rather small when compared to american, or european, sizes. Clean, fresh and well furnished. The gym, bar and breakfast buffet were all of a rather poor standard, but this was not an issue as other facilities were either nearby, or within a short distance. Helpful and efficient staff. Front desk, porters and housekeeping were all of a good standard.
The hotel breakfast was poor and the MTV Club bar was limited, but all the usual convenience stores and cafes were within a minutes walk from the hotel.
I would not recommend this hotel to families with children or young single adults. Excellent hotel and location for older singles/couples who are independant and willing to explore by foot or, using public transport. Short term business professionals will enjoy the quiet, peaceful atmosphere, but may become frustrated with the limited facilities. Located in a quite district of Hong Kong island with excellent transport links to other areas. Buses, trams, taxis, shuttle bus - excellent. No bars nearby!

we've been upgraded to suit room, it was big compare to most hotel rooms I stayed in HK, esp for the price...
the staffs over there are nice and friendly, they can provide us helpful info for us to save our time and money...
near to tram which is cheapest transportation in HK, a bit far away from MTR. but overall it's OK for vacation. a bit far away from MTR station, but tram station is just outside of the hotel... and A12 to airport is just oppsite of the hotel, it takes 30-40 mins to reach airport, value for money...
near A12, tram station, spacious room in HK, near local seafood market, it's interesting... it's worthy to stay...
