As indicated above I thought that the room I had was really excellent with a superb view of the park. It was my second visit to Hong Kong and both times I have used your hotel. I shall recommend it to all my friends that are likely to journey to Hong Kong...

The things I like most about the Park lane Hotel are as follow - The friendly disposition and professionalism of the staff. The excellent
quality of the service of the staff is commendable.
- The cleanliness, size and configuration of the room and its furniture.
- The location of the Hotel. It is near almost everything you normally need. It
even has a beautiful park in front- The food quality is good, specially at Cafe One.
The only thing that affected our stay, was the noise generated by the construction or renovation in some of the rooms.

What I like most is the area which is easily connected to shopping and MTR as well as the supermarket. The room is big and clean since it's just been renovated. The bed and pillows are superb. The bathroom is very modern with glasses almost around, except sometimes one can see through the curtain when the light is on or if the curtain is not drawn properly. The view outside is not so good if you don't get the park view.

Major mix up with employee staff, with the supervising manager actually asking for me to return by breakfast voucher. Very unprofessional and biased.

Great Location of course but that is a given, the only interactions I had with staff was at check in and check out. Check in lasted 45 mns as they did not have a booking that matched my hotel voucher, they finally gave me a room which was clearly not what I had booked (with view on Park/Harbor) and turned out to be already occupied by another customer... to then tell me with a big smile that they would "upgrade" me to a room with view on the Park - which is what I had paid for in the first place. A total Fiasco to stay polite. The least they could have done would be an upgrade to a suite or add free breakfast... a gesture ... Then when came the time for check out I was on a very tight schedule to catch my flight but they just told me to wait in line... for 35 mins... I gave up getting my invoice, agreed to let them charge my credit card and rushed to the airport... I will not be coming back to the Park Lane

The Parklane Hotel has an excellent location in the Causeway Bay area for shopping, restaurants, banks, even laundry and suppermarket.
It seems that the rooms are differently decorated one from the others. The hotel is very accesible to taxis, MTR, Airport Express buses, etc.

We had booked 2 rooms in January for our April visit, one for my husband and myself and the other for my son's family of 2 adults and 2 children. We had a bit of problem with a trainee service staff at the checkin counter. However the second service staff was very good, efficient and courteous and gave us 2 rooms with an adjoining door as requested. The rooms are nice and big by Hong Kong standards and allowed for an extra bed for a 3 yearold and a crib for a 9 month old child comfortably. Housekeeping and engineering staff were excellent and promptly changed a not-so-clear DVD player for the 3 yearold who wanted to watch a Disney disc as the hotel did not have any children's TV programme available in the rooms. Suggest the hotel adds on a Disney channel. The concierge was really helpful in connecting us to good Japanese restaurants at the Landmark.
Our only negative experience was with the first service staff at the checkin counter and had it not been for this incident, I would have rated the quality of service staff as "excellent" instead of just "good". We were waiting in line with 2 Caucasians in front of us and 2 behind us. We are Asians from Singapore and have trvalled internationally extensively and never had this kind of experiences before. When this service staff was available, she mumbled something about the next Caucasian being friends with the first Caucasian in front of us (who had by the way already checked in and walked off) She told us to step aside and let the next guy through. Indignantly we told her that we are in the queue and have 2 kids sleeping in the lounge area! Embarassingly she walked around behind the counter and pretended to look for something, trying not to make eye contact with us. Another service staff then served us and we had excellent quality of service from her. Btw we determined that the person behind us was checking into a different room from the person in front of us. Don't really know what was going through this service staff's mind. We can give her some slack for being a trainee if she was slow or something. But her attitude which appeared to be "racial-biased" should not be tolerated. It comes to show how one bad experience can change a rating from "excellent" to just "good". As she is the only exception to the generaly excellent service, we will use the Hotel again and will recommend others to use it. We are also very happy with HotelTravel.com service, having used it for the first time and will also use it again.
Conveniently located to shopping, eating and supermarkets etc. We like the open feeling with the park across the road rather than a hotel stuck in the liddle of many other buildings. Taxi service was good. And proximity to MTR is good too although we didnt use it this trip. We ate at the French restaurant upstairs. Food was good and service excellent. Although we didnt use the coffeehouse, we walked through it from the HMV shop to the hotel lifts and the buffet spread looks good too. We didnt take breakfast there as we went over to Luk Yu dimsum teahouse for breakfast which was good. Taxis were always available and MTR stations just next door, although we didnt use it this time.

The room (superior, city facing) is of a nice comfortable size for Hong Kong standard and relatively quiet.
However, what spoils it all is the extremely bad service provided by the counter staff. The counter staff on that day, named Clara, was very rude. I won't return to this hotel until they get rid of that staff. Watch out as well for counter staff who seem to "mistakenly" keep the wrong credit card copy if you settle the bill by credit card. the counter staff named Clara is very rude and should be fired on the spot if the hotel really values customer service.
Not even a toilet in the public areas. The staff actually direct you to the public toilets in the shopping centre next door!

Parklane is very accessible to the supermarket, MTR station and to the shopping malls. The location is good for the HongKong Area. There are also a lot of restaurants around the area. I give Parklane a very high rating in terms of accessibility, convenience and the hotel also has nice facililties and courteous staff. The room is quite new and very clean, so is the bathroom.

I chose a quieter place for breakfast in the cafe one morning. It was around 9 - 10 am when people are having breakfast, the staff in my area started to re-arrange tables and chairs without acknowledging that there are guests still using breakfast. I am not talking about minor arrangement; this is quite a major one which is quite noisy and I was having my breakfast then. They did not even apologise or explain to me. This is the first time I saw this happening... Don't they have some cow-sense of customer service...

Very nice and comfortable hotel - great location as it is close to authentic HK but also close to modern amenities like the Times Square Shopping arcade. Especially liked the fact that we were allowed to stay till 6pm (we arrived midnight the previous day) on the day of departure. It was offered to us - didnt even have to ask.

I like the location but the rate is not cheap compared to say Regal Hotel which has newer and better furnishings. I would recommend renovation of the hotel especialy changing the carpet and some of the old furnitures and finishings, after which I am sure people will not mind paying for the premium.

What I like most about the hotel is the location - it's just about 200 metres away from the Causeway Bay subway station and the shops are just a few steps away. At the same time it's not noisy because it's situated at one end of the shopping belt. I was upgraded to a deluxe room which was of a decent size, clean, modern with a fairly large LCD TV and broadband access. I didn't find any fault at all with the hotel during the three nights that I was there. Overall, it's a hotel I'll return to if I want to stay in the Causeway Bay area.

Very good hotel in a very convenient place. Prices were reasonable, although breakfast was not included and it was about $20 per person, and the site was close to everything including public transit. On site restaurants were good although it is very near the causeway bay commercial district and there are many nearby restaurants I would look for this hotel again on my next visit.

this hotel is ideally located with easy access to Causeway Bay's main shopping areas. We shopped and came back to the hotel to drop our shoppings and we go again, and again! that's how convenient it is! food is so good around the area round the clock that we did not need to use the room service at all! room was clean and looks rather newly furnished. all factors about the hotel is ideal and very reasonably priced!

The room which I stayed was noisy due to the short distance from the elevator. The comforter also old and didn't provide enough warmth and comfort. However, service so far was good.

Pack your Chinese New Year with excitement by spending a day among the rides, shows and attractions of Ocean Park.
Chinese Lunar New Year is the most important of all the Chinese festivals and is the most frenetic happening in the country. It occurs on the 1st day of the 1st moon (January/February) with celebrations lasting three days. Firework displays, lion (or dragon) dances, parades and much more fill the streets with their gaiety and colour. This is also the time to shop for bargains as many shops hold sales with items being cut by 50% or more at times. One of the main horse racing events falls over Chinese New Year as well and this sport is certainly popular with locals and tourists alike. Many shops close for three days over the Chinese New Year.
Che Kung occurs on the second day of Chinese New Year. Che Kung was a Sung Dynasty general who is believed to have saved the inhabitants of Sha Tin Valley from the plague centuries ago and become an immortal and was elevated to a Taoist deity. Today gamblers worship him, as a ‘god’ and crowds now flock to his main temple, near the Hong Kong Jockey Club's Sha Tin Racecourse to wish him happy birthday.
