This hotel was excellent, the staff were friendly and very helpful. It over looks Victoria Park as well as the harbour and is situated about 10mins walk from major shopping areas. The restaurant is very nice and serves gorgeous food at reasonable prices. One of the best features is the heated rooftop swimming pool which provides a great place to relax and also fantastic views of Hong Kong.
I would definitely stay at this hotel again. May Hui, United States
location is convenient. slight disappointment, room is quite small, hotel website looks better than actual. A HotelTravel.com Member, Singapore
My boyfriend and I spent 3 nights at Metropark HK (23-26/07), we booked a harbour view double room with requested king/queen size bed, however, we were told double room was fully booked when I checked in the hotel at 3pm and ended up with twin room. On next day I checked with them again for double room availability and was told rooms are not available, I told them I don't mind waiting until late afternoon to transfer to double room, finally, they managed to transfer us to double room at 5pm, which they had upgraded us to a suit with king size bed as well as big bath room with bath tub too. I am very pleased with their arrangement, the staffs are very polite and friendly, hotel is near Tin Hau MTR (less than 5 min walk) which is 1 stop away from Causeway Bay (Shopping Area), I would come back to stay at this hotel again, highly recommend to friends if they would like to stay at HK island too. Breakfast (average) was over £10 (just had it the once) A small cup of coffee cost £3.30 (although I got a free refill).
Rooms quite small with very little wardrobe space, although clean and well presented. Chew Heng Tong, Singapore
Very convenient as it is just opposite the Tin Hau MTR. Food and shopping is available nearby. Nancy Lim, Canada
Requested for double bed but was given Queen size. Requested for harbour view but was given partial sea view. Suk bong Hong, Korea
I loved the swimming pool, it was fantastic realxing time after long walk from shopping and sightseeing. The view of harbor and downtown from swimming pool was fantastic, sunset was great watching from there as well. Location is good, it's little hassle to go up to subway station because there's no direct crosswalk from hotel to station, you have to go around and pass few crosswalks and then, you can get to Tin Hau station. But it's not that bad. It was easy to catch a cab from hotel. Not cost that much to go admiralty or central. Lobby was clean. One thing littel disappointing thing was the room itself. Size was little small. But considering the fact that HongKong hetel rooms are usually rather small (according to what people say), I guess it should be not that bad. Harborview from the room was good though. Teresita Chan, Philippines
The room and bathroom is very small, not much space to move around. The bed is also very small compare to the other hotels that I have stayed. I would not come back to this hotel in the future. The MTR station is a bit far from the hotel but the bus station is near from the hotel only a few steps away no need to cross the street. A HotelTravel.com Member, Philippines
Staying here at this Hotel far exceeded my expectations, the service was good and the rooms and toilets was clean, its very near the public transport and the hotel even offers free shuttle service departing almost every 30 mins, and it even has a pool at the rooftop offering a great view of hong kong, the only drawback is the size of the rooms, i will definitely recommend this to my friends. The rooms were very clean, very friendly staff and a great view from the hotel rooms. Everything was there, hair dryer, coffee facilities, good quality beds, and most important, very clean. Mrt, public buses and airport bus in walking distance (less than 5 minutes). We have already recommended this hotel to friends of ours who will be visiting hong kong in november. |
