This is my 3rd time staying at the Metropark, Causeway Bay. I love the location and its easy access to transport. The views from the Harbour rooms are wonderful especially at night. I highly recommend this hotel. As the hotel is fairly new, all features and fittings are still of a high standard. The rooftop pool, gym and restaurant are all first class. The staff are always very helpful and friendly. Close to Causeway Bay shops and easy access transport. Tin Hau station is only a few minutes walk away as are the buses and trams. Cafe du Parc has a good selection for breakfast, lunch a...

Decent hotel with clean rooms which are ok in size. Good overall value. Location in Causeway Bay is not the most convenient, but there is an MTR station across the street.

The room was quite small, but that is to be expected in a large city. The bathroom was a good size and very nice. We were initially put on a smoking floor by mistake, and were changed to another room very easily by staff. Generally the hotel was good, the breakfast was nice, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Only issue was that our room was constantly damp and musty, not sure if it was from the humid climate, steam from bathroom, or other factors, but it was noticable and not very pleasant.

The hotel best describes value for money. The room is quite small but the hotel makes up for cleanliness, good quality of bed and bathroom fixtures, and excellent service of its staff. It was our first visit and we were upgraded to a room with a view. If you do not speak chinese, just be sure to print out a map of the hotel or have the name of the hotel written in chinese as not all cab drivers are familiar with the hotel. But armed with a map, it should be no problem for the drivers to find it. Very convenient location, with Tin Hau MTR station almost right in front of the hotel, a Wellcome supermart about a minute of walk from the hotel. Make sure to check out the long dresser/table inside the room, I only discovered the hidden mirror/dresser and hair blower on my third day of stay.

Rooms are quite comfortable with a separate shower stall. Nice harbour view, comfortable bed. Staff was quite pleasant and hotel is conveniently located. Very close to Tin Hau MTR station and 15 minute leisure walk to Times Square. Beautiful view from the rooftop pool, although closed to swimming for winter. This hotel recommended by a friend was a pleasant surprise and we had an excellent rate. Would definitely stay here again in the future.

I couldn't have been happier with the Metropark. I was upgraded to a junior suite on the 27th fl. with a huge room and fantastic view. Very friendly and helpful staff, very good breakfast and as others have said, the hotel is only a two minute walk to the Tin Hau subway station or a ten minute walk past Victoria Park into the heart of Causeway Bay. A friend stayed in a harbor view room that was very nice but on the small side. I would definitely stay at the Metropark again and recommend it highly.

The room was pretty clean and cosy. I thought the room was quite small but told that that is the norm over there. Basically you're paying extra for the nice view if you stay in a harbour view room. The view from the roof floor was amazing.

Only improvement I would suggest is a better waiting/seating area for arrivals. Airport operates all night (24/7) having a 4/5 hour wait for a room allocation with nowhere to sit (only two 2 seater tables) is tiresome in heat and humidity.

We visit Hong Kong once in about six months and always stay at the Metropark Causeway Bay. Location is excellent, just opposite the MTR and one MTR stop from the Causeway Bay shopping area. Hotel provides a bus to WanChai and Causeway Bay. Rooms are very clean and of average size. Harbourview rooms provide a good view of the harbour. Staff are very helpful and friendly

Great Hotel ,definite value for monry. Easy access to transport, quiter area , good views clean, modern , will return when next in Hong Kong. Room was a bit small for two people, next time would requst an upgrade, great view though. I WAS PLEASED WITH FACILITIES NOT 5 STAR BUT NOT EXPECTED. Couldn't fault service, ROOM SERVICE, CONCIERGE ,CHECK IN, GYM all great. Only used cafe once so was pleased with standard. ROOM was cleaned daily to high standard so very happy. Hong Kong has one of the best transport systems I have ever used and with Tram, Bus & MTR SO CONVENIENT I could not fault. Staff answered every query I had clearly with no difficulties, booked the Happy Valley races & was wrapt. Pool Excellent, million dollar views on a moderate budget. Quiter location with great access to transport

First time at Metropark Causeway Bay very good quality/price value. Found nothing wrong . The building has 27 floors stayed at 11 Ocean View room. For whom cares about good view have to choose higher floor. Location is somehow quite and very handy to Public Transport (Tram and MRT). 10 to 15 minutes walking to the shopping area in Causeway Bay. Three staff at reception, fast and friendly. Not used restaurant service however had a quick looks seems OK. I will definitively stay again anytime visiting HK.

The room was small but cleaned and great view. The staff was very helpful, friendly and professional. Very close to the MTR, right across the street at Tin Hau station. Neighborhood is across from Victoria Park and safe. At the corner is Wellcome...a local supermarket!! The hotel provided internet service, pool and roof access, and restaurant. The hotel is a bit far from the touristy area but yet you can just get there by MTR to Causeway Bay and Tsim sha shu. This hotel is more of a neighborhood, local feel.

In our opinion this hotel is extremely well situated for the visitor to Hong Kong, being close to key transport links such as the MTR and providing easy access to shopping areas. With a harbour view room we also enjoyed a 'sense of space' looking out over Victoria Park and this is certainly at a premium in this very busy and crowded city.

we came for one night on our way to Australia and it was the best choice. great location wonderful room, very plesent and clean, wonderful view to the bay and park and not too small, very comfortable bed, if there was a bath tab it would be perfect but the shower was big and nice. wondefrul food at the restaurant. We arrived in the morning after a very long 17 hours flight and recived the room right away. The transportation from the airport and back was excelant. if we go again to Hong Kong will definitely come back and recommend it warmly

I've stayed in many HK hotels before. Metropark is an excellent hotel for the price. Conveniently located, the staffs are friendly & very helpful. I asked for a Band-Aid for my wife's blistered foot. We were greatly disappointed with the hotel. It was stated as a four star but did not even have a proper lobby. They had only two sets of seats at the so called lobby facing the reception. The standard size of the room was was below the average standard size. Hardly any space to even put our clothes and when the suitcase is placed hardly any room to move around.Only nice part is the clean and fairly large toilet in comparison to the room size. We felt greatly cheated as they have given us a small mini size single room as a standard double room. We will never ever recommend this hotel to any one.Very very over priced and the facilities were terrible. Even a Contenental breakfast for two slices of toasts with butter and jam cost us HK 98, which in real terms cheating in day light. We are regular visitors to HK but never been so disappointed with a hotel such as this .It looked nice on the web but horrible when you experience. As soon as we saw the size of he room we wanted to vacate but too tired to do so.Please take this out of your list.We did not even have a yellow pages directory and after several requests given one in Chinese and subsequently the English version. In all other hotels we did not ask for anything , they were all found in the room. Even the writing table was the dressing table as well with the drawer opening on top with a mirror. We even tried to bring our flight forward due to the lack of space and facilities in the hotel but unfortuantely the flights were full.W

The hotel's location makes it very easy to get to all the major tourist attractions and shops without having to stay in amongst the hussle and bustle. The staff are extremely helpful and very friendly. The Harbour View rooms offer perfectly adequate accommodation and bathrooms are spotlessly clean. I was also delighted to find a proper hairdryer and not one of those awful wall-mounted hoover pipes that would no more clear the steam from the bathroom mirror nevermind dry soaking wet hair!! The only thing that lets the hotel down are their lifts - there are only 3 to cover 31 floors and the wait in the morning can be lengthy! Aside from that, I'd say this is a great hotel and if you're fortunate to get a good discount out of high season, you could certainly do a lot worse elsewhere.

We stayed in this hotel for three nights at the beginning of July 2007. When I made the booking through Hoteltravel.com, I specifically requested a non-smoking double room, because I had read reports that there were some problems getting double rooms. This proved to be useless because when we arrived for check in (before noon), we were told that there were only a non-somking twin room or a smoking double room available. I made a fuss and called the travel agent representative in Hong Kong to discuss the matter. They told me that the request for a double room could not be garanteed. We settled for the twin room, because we can't stand the smell of cold tobacco in our room. The room was nice and clean, but after one night, my wife and I found that it was not very cosy to sleep in separate beds on our vacation. The next day we went back to reception to try to get a double room non-smoking but again there was none available. The reception clerk told us that they made a thorough treatment in every smoking room so that it wouldn't smell of tobacco, so we decided to check it out. We found that the double room was very nice and there was no smell of smoke, so we moved to that room. I was disappointed that we didn't check this smoking room before our first night, because that would have saved us a night in separate beds. But anyway, overall the hotel looks quite new and is very well maintained. The rooms are nice and clean but basic. They are very small so you won't be able to ope

We requested for double bed in a non smoking room. However, the HK operator probably did not rely the request to the Hotel as they were not aware of our request. other than that, the hotel is a good place to stay in.

Small room for the price, even by Hong Kong standards but clean and well-kept. The area is not too far from Causeway Bay, but it does take some time to get there, either by tram, MTR or walking. The hotel is actually in Tin Hau rather than Causeway Bay. Tiny pool on the roof, but the views are stunning if you are not afraid of heights. Front office staff were friendly enough. Room service on one occasion was a bit surly. There are other options in this part of Hong Kong. There was nothing about this hotel that would make me want to come back.

The room and the view were awesome. The room was large compared to the other rooms I've stayed at in Hong Kong and all of the staff were very friendly. My husband and I had to wait a little bit for our room to be ready so they gave us a free drink at their lounge while we waited. I really appreciated the free inroom internet, that was the reason I chose the hotel. Also, the view from the pool was beautiful. The only thing I would add to make the hotel absolutely perfect is a real gym. The "gym" they had was a few cardio machines, a few (2-3) machines and light free weights. One more thing, the access to public transportation was excellent! There was a train station really close and the trolley's stopped about a block away. Love it, thanks!

The first thing to say is the rooftop pool is spectacular for the view and ambience. Most of the time no one else was there and I had a peaceful swim with the fantactic view. The room was a descent size for Hong Kong, and in good shape. Here to, the view was beautiful - need to make sure you book a harbourview room. The cleaning staff was good and no need to worry about security at all. There also is a nice in-room safe (no charge). We had heard from many reviews about the buffet breakfast being spectacular. We went once, and there was a great and large selection, but the taste of most things were not the quality I was expecting. It would have been finefor $10- $15 Canadian, but at $21 was quite over-priced. We did not go back again, as you can hop on the double decker trolley for 30 cents (2 min walk to corner), or metro train ($1.50, vitually at same corner) and head to any spot in town and get great meals at far better prices. Besides the room or restaurants in the hotels, and the tourist attractions (Victoria Peak/Ocean Park, etc) prices for food/drinks/entertainment are quite cheap in HK. Regardless of price, you "have to" go to Victoria Peak on the tram both in the day and night (the price is still cheaper than entertainment in Vancouver, just priced high compared to regular in HK). The city view is mezmorizing, and the laser/light show in HK (viewed fromt eh harbout on the Kowloon side) is simply awesome! I will go back to HK, and will also most likely sta

Having a room on the executive level was very special, it was well worth the extra money. The staff gave a great customer service, nothing was a problem. The location was great with shops and restaurants close by and the MTR around the corner. A bit disappointing that the swimming pool was closed for the cold season though. I'm quite impressed with the Metropark / Causeway Bay. It's only a short walk to the Tin Hau MTR station, making it quite easy to get to the rest of the island. It's a bit longer of a walk to the Causeway Bay station, but there's a lot more there to see and do, including Times Square. One thing to mention to non-Chinese speakers: This part of town does not cater to English speakers as much as other parts of HK. We occasionally had difficulty finding restaurants where the menus were in English and where the staff spoke English. Made for quite the adventure, but was kind of inconvenient too. We had a problem with the hotel's restaurant, however. My wife and I decided to eat at the restaurant on Valentine's Day. They had a buffet... or so it was told to us. We went to the buffet, ate some things (the selection wasn't so good), so we decided to leave because the food wasn't settling well. Then the staff started to bring out more food... huh?! It was NOT a buffet and they were trying to give us a main course. We still decided to leave and so they decided to charge us the entire amount of the meal -- HK$764. My wife and I weren't feeling well at this point, so I signed the check. We went to our room and BOTH of us got sick, so I went downstairs and spoke with the manager. Since I had signed the ticket, he said there was nothing he could do. Not impressed. All we ate was their appetizers -- we didn't take the rose or the "present" (whatever it was). Otherwise, the facility was fine

An outstanding hotel value. The room was small, but efficiently decorated, and the bathroom was quite roomy, with excellent products, and a walk-in shower spacious for me (I'm 6'-3" or 1.90 m). The proximity to public transportation (Maxi-cabs, Tram, and MTR) put this hotel within a few minutes of nearly any attraction in Hong Kong/Kowloon. I highly recommend using the Tin Hau MTR station. It's only a 5 minute walk away, and the MTR is extremely efficient. There was even a grocery store on the same block to purchase any forgotten items, or bottled water. It was great having free broadband in the room, and a nice view of Victoria Park and the Harbour (although you couldn't see them lying in bed). Early check-in proved impractical, as this is clearly a popular hotel, but Concierge took care of our luggage as we did a bit of impromptu sightseeing until our room was ready. The pool was closed as expected (January & February) but looked very inviting. And since it's on the roof, had the best views. Noise is often a complaint in Hong Kong, but from our room on the 17th floor (we had requested an upper floor), we never heard any of it. I hope to be back to Hong Kong soon, and would definitely stay here again.

except that the room is a little bit small, everything is so cool. The welcome drink they offered is really nice. anyway, all the hotel in HK is famouse for the small size. However, I really like their smart design of making the desk together with the wall and facing the large windows which is facing the nice bay. enjoy it!

After researching on HotelTravel.com and reading previous reviews my partner and I decided to go for the Metropark Hotel Causeway Bay and we ended up very happy with our choice. The location cannot be called anything else than excellent. Many busses stop just around the corner, the Metro has a station at 2 tot 3 minutes walking and there is a supermarket some 80 metres from the hotel. The (standard) harbourview rooms offer a great view (we were on the 17th floor which is somewhere in the middle of the 31 floors) and we had not really problems with the famous Hong Kong noise. The bathroom was clean and bright and had a good size shower cabin. The room could probably be considered small by some but we had no problems with it at all and the lay-out was convenient and the room looked nice and clean. Staff was friendly and helpful and you can use the Internet for free at the business centre. We didn't eat at the hotel, but the buffets seemed reasonably priced. All in all this hotel offers great rooms and service at a great location for a good rate (at least when booked through Hoteltravel.com). Metropart Hotel really provides a good homebase to enjoy both the convenience in terms of public transport and a good location and view and yet a very relaxing and fairly quiet environment.

We've spent three nights in metropark hongkong, and really enjoyed our stay. only 1 mins walk to the subway station, 5 mins to get to Crawbay shopping district are very convient. The majority of rooms have sea view, so reminder your agent to reserve high floor rooms for you. The bar and breakfast is soso but acceptable. The TV is a little too small. The bath room is bigger enough to shame other hotel. Anyway diffinitively come again.

My stay at the Metropark is out of my expectation. Room is bigger than I thought it would be and it was very clean. Big enough to fit 4 luggages! Staff are very friendly and helpful. Perfect location which MTR is just right across the street. Walking distance to Causeway Bay shopping area. It is a perfect location to live away from the crowd. I would definitely go back to this hotel again for my next trip to Hong Kong. Price is very reasonable with excellent hotel condition.

i liked that the hotel was close to the MTR. the room was smaller than i expected, the pics definitely made the rooms look bigger but overall, it did not hinder us from relaxing. i think it would be nicer if there were 2 chairs instead of one. the facilities were good, the pool was clean and a good size. the view from the rooftop was very very nice. the location works very well since it is about 3 blocks from the train station. sometimes taxi drivers don't know where Metropark hotel is by the name and i would have to give them the address. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others!

This hotel was excellent, the staff were friendly and very helpful. It over looks Victoria Park as well as the harbour and is situated about 10mins walk from major shopping areas. My boyfriend and I spent 3 nights at Metropark HK (23-26/07), we booked a harbour view double room with requested king/queen size bed, however, we were told double room was fully booked when I checked in the hotel at 3pm and ended up with twin room. On next day I checked with them again for double room availability and was told rooms are not available, I told them I don't mind waiting until late afternoon to transfer to double room, finally, they managed to transfer us to double room at 5pm, which they had upgraded us to a suit with king size bed as well as big bath room with bath tub too. I am very pleased with their arrangement, the staffs are very polite and friendly, hotel is near Tin Hau MTR (less than 5 min walk) which is 1 stop away from Causeway Bay (Shopping Area), I would come back to stay at this hotel again, highly recommend to friends if they would like to stay at HK island too.

I loved the swimming pool, it was fantastic realxing time after long walk from shopping and sightseeing. The view of harbor and downtown from swimming pool was fantastic, sunset was great watching from there as well. Location is good, it's little hassle to go up to subway station because there's no direct crosswalk from hotel to station, you have to go around and pass few crosswalks and then, you can get to Tin Hau station. But it's not that bad. It was easy to catch a cab from hotel. Not cost that much to go admiralty or central. Lobby was clean. One thing littel disappointing thing was the room itself. Size was little small. But considering the fact that HongKong hetel rooms are usually rather small (according to what people say), I guess it should be not that bad. Harborview from the room was good though.

Staff so helpful- we arrived at 7am, early morning flight from Australia- expected to be allowed to only drop our bags at the hotel but told that the room would be ready for us in 10 minutes, which it was. Little in the way of restaurants or entertainment near the hotel but idealy situated for the MTR so no major problem. Would highly recommend the hotel to anyone visiting HK.
