I found the professionalism and friendly service shown by the staff manning the business centre one of the best that I have experienced. The service desk staff were efficient but could be a tad more welcoming - bearing in mind that guests arriving may have had a long flight and so could be tired. However, I did find them more friendly when I was checking out. Staff at the bar were fantastic on every evening that I spent there. The music was ok but I think most people there did not mind the at times woeful singing.
On the whole, the cleanliness of the room and facilities were impressive, and the hotel became a haven at the end of a long day. Now if the local council could clean up the surrounding streets, particularly from the rail station to the hotel, that would make staying at the City Garden Hotel a lot more desirable. I had a very short but pleasant stay at the City Garden Hotel. A typical city hotel - not luxurious, but very comfortable and clean. Bathroom was small, but clean. For the price I paid, it was really good value for money!! The surroundings/location gave me a sense of security. Didn't get to use any of the facilities all that much, but whatever little I did, was excellent. The staff were courteous and effecient. All in all, I was impressed. If I need to stay in that part of HK again, I would definitely revisit this hotel. Laura Mertz, United States
The concierge was the best thing in this hotel. The room was nice, but the concierge answered all my questions, got me a local map, and a taxi and told the taxi driver where to go for me. It helped me a lot. Malin Ketuphan, Thailand
What I liked most is the cozy environment close to the park but for shopping mostly in Kowloon side is inconvenience because the MTR fare from HK to Kowloon is much expensive. A HotelTravel.com Member, Philippines
