I had a problem with strong cigarette smoke smell in the early morning from the air-conditioning/ventilation. This occured on the first two mornings of our three days stay. The smell was sufficiently strong enough to result in a headaches for us. On the third morning, I had the air-conditioning turned off until during the night and the problem did not re-occur. Otherwise, the ccommodation was quite good.

I had a pleasant stay here. My room was upgraded and for the money I paid I think it is good value. The room is newer than I expected but the soap container in the bathroom was broken and not fixed when we moved in. It dropped on the husband's foot and got hurt (not seriously though). I rang the household service up and the assistant manger immediately came to apologise. The service is quite efficient and we appreciate it. I will definitely stay here again if the rate is good.

To nearest accesible MTR is the Fotress Hill which is 10 mins walk. There is nothing much to offer surrounding the hotel. No complains on the room.In deciding to stay at this hotel, be prepared to travel on taxi and MTR. This is the best rate I could get in Hong Kong as all the other places are more expensive as it is nearer to place of interest.

The hotel is not located within the main tourist attraction area, if you know enough about the public transportation system in HK, this is an excellent hotel for the money.

My only complaint is the room is not as clean as it could have been. Everything else is just fine given this price.

The airport has direct bus (#A11) to the hotel which is HK$40 per person. Very close to eateries and MTR station.

The rooms given to us was a bit old and unclean. There were other rooms of the same size which are far better but the hotel wants to charge more. Room service is very very slow. Request for upper floors, 20th floor and up, rooms are better and cleaner.

This was my first time stay at the City Garden Hotel. The floor carpet and furniture in the room that we stayed in was old, however the room size was spacious. A typical 3-star city hotel - not luxurious but confortable and clean. Location is in residential area, 4 minutes walk to MTR station and easy access to many local shops and food outlets.

This is our first time to stay in City Garden Hotel. The Hotel is not too far from Hong Kong Convention Center just only 15 minutes by bus(which provided by Hotel) or by MTR to Wanchai station. Hotel staffs are very friendly and professional. We intend to stay again in October 2007 and will suggest this hotel to our friends.

Have stayed here perhaps a dozen times and will continue to do so. Only real complaint is that high speed internet should be no additional charge, particularly when you are staying on an 'Executive Floor'.
