I liked the village-like setup, and the location along the caldera a little away from the center of town. I especially liked watching the Aegean sunrise through the 'colonades' while swimming laps in the main pool. The rooms and fixtures were a bit worn by North American standards, though not so bad by European standards. The staff were extremely friendly and courteous, even compared with the warmth of the general population of Santorini. After seeing some of the hotels that other conference-goers ended up in, I'm quite happy that we stayed at the El Greco. A HotelTravel.com Member, France
