The hotel is very good. The rooms are very nice and the breakfast is international. The position is perfect if you travel by train. It takes about 10 minutes to reach the center by foot...

Wow. We arrived and were given a room that was below substandard! It was gross to be absolutely honest. The carpet was filthy, the room had two twin beds instead of a double. The furniture was decrepit. When we complained the desk fellow was rude and said he didn't even have to give us another room. We just stayed at the desk with our luggage and said we were not moving until they gave us another room. The desk guy relented and we checked into a different room (a smoking room which miraculously did not reek of smoke). It was hard to believe it was the same hotel. The new room had much better carpet, etc. The bathrooms were not very good at all. Just a shower, and a florescent light that starting buzzing incessantly after a few minutes. Also, bubble would rise out of the floor drain after showering, or washing up.
The one bright spot was the included breakfast which was quite good.
The hotel was convenient to the train station, but I don't think I would ever stay here again. The desk people were just too rude. Taking a chance and getting a horribly dirty decrepit room with disgusting carpet is just too big of chance to take on international travel. This is definitely the worst hotel experience of any in all of our European travel.

Strong Beer Season: traditionally, monks in Munich would brew a strong and nutritious beer after Fasching which is supposed to help strengthen the bodies of Lenten fasters. Prominent breweries unveil the season's strong beer after Ash Wednesday, and the tradition continues over four weeks.
Walpurgis Festival: celebrated on the last evening of April throughout the towns and villages of the Harz Mountains, Walpurgis is a ghoulish event that bears a slight resemblance to Halloween. Some communities light bonfires to usher in the spring weather.
Munich's world renown beer festival originally began as a horse race, but is now a complete cultural celebration.
