
Schonefeld International Airport is Berlin’s main airport. It is located about 18 km from central Berlin and has all of the top international carriers. Referred to as the “Holiday Airport”, as it is the hub for international flights.
Schonefeld houses four terminals and offers all of the amenities a traveller needs, such as ATMs, banks and currency exchange offices. Other facilities include restaurants, shopping and business facilities.

Tegal International Airport boasts having the most scheduled flights in Berlin and is often referred to as the “Frequent Flyer Airport”. Tegal sees over 11 million passengers each year and offers international and domestic flights.
Taxis are available outside the terminals.

Bus
Berlin's bus service is an economical way to travel and to see the city. Bus lines are extensive and clearly marked.

Trains
S-Bahn (urban railway) is an efficient and quick means of transportation in Berlin. The elevated S-Bahn travels in a circle around the city centre in about an hour and offers some impressive city views.

Ferries
Taking a ferry in Berlin is definitely a lovely option. Many seasonal and all year round ferries travel to ports all over the city.

Taxis
Taxis are a popular and comfortable means of transport in Berlin. Taxi stands can be found at all main stations and airports as well as outside KADEWE and hotels. Fares start at € 2.50 and € 1.53 per km; Short Ride (Kurzstrecke): a € 3 ride for up to 2 km drive if you hail the taxi from the street.
Car Hire
Berlin is a very friendly driving destination as the streets are wide and long and motorists tend to be extremely civilized. Cheap car hire is available from the airport with all of the major companies being represented.
Cycling
Cycling is an easy way to travel in Berlin and is also a very safe option as lanes are clearly marked and follow some very picturesque areas. There are bicycle rental shops sprinkled throughout the city.
