Toulouse is a popular university town in the south of France that boasts much architectural wealth and is home to the French aviation and space industry. The town is crisscrossed by a network of canals and has bags of ambience in the town centre, with its narrow alleys and bustling squares.
There are loads of things for kids to do in Toulouse, with a natty space exploration centre complete with hands-on exhibits, an African-style safari park and many active city parks. There's also lots of opportunity for parents to get active, with miles of canals and cycling paths as well as some good golfing and skiing nearby.
The recently opened Foundation Bemberg is one of the most important art galleries in Toulouse. It is housed in the fine 15th century Hotel Assezat on the river and features 500 years of European artwork from the Renaissance to the 19th century. The beautifully restored building is worthy of a tour on its own merit. Phone: +33 5 6112 0689
Toulouse is fairly compact, yet those who need to use public transport will find an excellent system of metro trains and buses. The historic centre of Toulouse is best traversed on foot, while the Metro runs from here, passing attractions to the south and southwest of town.
Citizens of the European Union only need a passport or national identity card to enter France. Visitors from non-EU countries should check with their nearest French embassy or consulate with regards to whether or not they need a tourist visa to enter the country.

This month's lucky winner is Mr. Laith Addabbas who lives in Jordan.
