This hotel is in an excellent location - right across the street from the Louvre and Tuilieries Garden, and a short walk to the Orsay. The staff was very courteous and professional. The furnishings are a bit dated but authentic. The value for the location is hard to beat....

This hotel is in an excellent location - right across the street from the Louvre and Tuilieries Garden, and a short walk to the Orsay. The staff was very courteous and professional. The furnishings are a bit dated but authentic. The value for the location is hard to beat.

Location of this hotel is fantastic. I had booked a superior room which was ok, but I expected more from a 4* hotel. Room decor was tired, room was small, bathroom was old. There was a shower head, but no where to attach it to. Best thing about the room was the view...amazing!
Room service was a joke. I ordered a sandwich which cost 16 euros. The sandwich was the smallest I have ever seen. No crisps or condiments on the side as you would normally get at other hotels. The concierge seemed to see my requests for taxis ect... as an annoyance. The rest of the staff were very friendly and helpful. The bar at the Regina is very nice, but at 17 euros for a scotch & coke, overpriced. I have stayed in some stunning 5* and 4* hotels, but this place is a 3* at best (unless the stars are based on the view). I go to Paris a lot, but will not be going back to the Regina. Small room, but a fantastic view. Room needed upgrading. Bar was very nice, but very pricey. Staff were very freindly, only spoiled by the concierge who was very stuffy. 16 euros for a very sorry looking sandwich. Concierge liked to show you that he was overworked (even though he wasn't) Great location, but a hotel needs more than this to charge those sort of prices. Close to metro, but difficult to get a cab
