The EuroAirport Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg is an aviation facility located close to the borders of France, Germany and Switzerland, and consequently it serves all of the three nearest cities of each country (Basel, Mulhouse and Freiburg). It is officially on French soil, but its domestic and international terminals are split into French and Swiss sectors. The airport handles over four million passengers per year.

There are direct flights between the airport and a variety of EU destinations, with budget carrier easyJet serving a significant number of passengers and Swiss European Airlines also operating a good selection of flights, including those to and from Manchester and London-City airports in the UK.
The airport’s terminals offer ATMs and bureaux de change facilities plus a restaurant, snack bars and licensed bars. Duty-free shops are available in the International Terminal.

The airport is situated 15 miles (25kms) south of Mulhouse and transportation options between the two include shuttles, public buses and taxis. There is no direct rail link to the airport, but a bus travels to Saint Louis rail station from where a connecting service to Mulhouse can be accessed.
Visitors arriving by car can take advantage of good road connections not only with French destinations, but also with the cities across the Swiss and German borders. From Paris, drivers can take the A6 to Beaune, followed by the A36 to Mulhouse.

Bus and rail connections to the city are available from across France, while visitors coming from Germany and Switzerland or other EU countries can use the Eurolines bus service.
Once in Mulhouse, the local public transport network includes buses and trams, which between them cover a large part of the city. Taxis and car hire are also widely available. Tourpass and family passes are available and provide unlimited tram transport for a period of 24-hours for a fixed fee.
