Alsace’s climate is cooler and wetter than that of coastal regions, and Mulhouse consequently experiences warm summers, cold winters and regular rainfall throughout the year.
The summer season sees the highest temperatures, with the mercury hitting the mid-20s (°C) in July and August. Temperatures in the months either side are several degrees lower, but still comfortably warm. June and July are the wettest months of the year by a distinct margin.
The winter is the driest season, with January through March bringing the least amount of rain. Biting cold weather is typical of this period, with temperatures often reaching several degrees below 0°C.
