Airports

Visitors wishing to arrive in Arles by air have a choice of six nearby airports to choose from, with Nîmes-Arles-Camargue Airport being the most convenient gateway. Offering low-cost flights from select UK airports as well as European capitals like Rome, Madrid and Brussels, Nîmes-Arles-Camargue Airport makes for a convenient entry point to Arles.

Facilities at the airport are limited; however, there is onsite car hire services and car parking as well as nearby airport hotels for those preferring to stay close to the airport. Shuttle services and taxis also operate between Nîmes and the airport.

Public Transport

Arles is well connected by road to other major French cities including Paris, Marseille, Lyon and Montpellier. It is also possible to access Italy and Monaco via scenic costal routes from Arles. Hiring a car is a great option for touring the region, but buses and trains are available for those who prefer public transport.

TGV high-speed trains travel between Arles and Lyon, Montpellier and Marseille as well as to destinations farther afield such as the capital, Paris. Those with stamina might like to try cycling around Arles, with biking being a great way to enjoy the scenic Provence countryside. Most of the city centre can be covered on foot, but local buses are also available.
