The second largest city in Finland, Espoo lies within the Helsinki Metropolitan Area. Espoo is home to the cellphone-maker Nokia, the Helsinki University of Technology and the VTT–the Technical Research Centre. The city is also in love with the arts. The Espoo Cultural Centre, Espoo Theatre and Espoo Music Institute see many concerts and performances throughout the year. The Espoo City Museum houses the permanent exhibition “A Trip through Time in Espoo”, and special exhibits. And the Espoo Art Museum Foundation is home to changing exhibitions of 20th-century and 21st-century Finnish and international art.
