Nadi is the third-largest city in the South Pacific country of Fiji, located on the western side of the main island of Viti Levu. Racially mixed, Nadi has many people of both Indian and Fijian ancestry; this makes for an interesting blend of Hinduism and Islam here. The traditional sugarcane industry has been supplemented with revenue from tourism in recent decades to become the two major powerhouses of the local economy.
