very noisy due to the pub on the ground floor but the most frustrating was the dirt. Maybe the most dirty hotel I 've ever been. The floor has never been cleaned, I found all kind of garbage (even an empty box of condomns ) under the bed.

I am not satisfied with my stay at this hotel. I spent two nights there, and could not sleep at all because there was a group of students on my floor making awful noise in the corridor up to two oclock in the morning.I phoned the reception, and nothing has been done to remedy the situation. The hotel service is very poor and the bathroom was quite dirty.

I suggest to provide a better service for internet access at hotel room, which is now quite common in many other hotels. Close to underground. It probably sources from the open area outside the carpark.

I chose this hotel because we went as a family last year and the family room was ok . This holiday was a treat for my son and his daughter. The room was awful, on the seventh floor. He said it was like going into a slum, the wallpaper was falling off the walls. The decor and furnishing were terrible. The kettle was like something out of the 70's. Could not get many channels on the tv. My son and his daughter were out of the hotel by 8am each morning as they couldn't sleep and did not want to stay in the room!! Terrible furnishing and fittings. Dirty/old kettle, Wallpaper coming away from the walls. It said Breakfast included but I do not call the choice of cereal (cornflakes or rice krispies) or toast a 'Continenta Breakfast' and that is all they were offered. Surely croissants, cereal, muffins, meats, yoghurts, fresh fruit are a 'Continental Breakfast'l All together it was a very unpleasant stay!!

Hotel is safe and fairly clean except I got a foul smelling towel once. The rooms are small and don't expect a lot of space. Cooked items are not included in the offer of the breakfast and have to pay for separately. It is a huge hotel and can get lost looking for your room, even after couple of day of the stay. The directions displayed are not very smart.

The breakfast was too bad. Continental breakfast should have more than toast, butter and jam. We order this hotel because it had pool near by, but children was not allowed for more than a few hours some days, som our 10 year old child was very dissepointed.

Very centrally located hotel near British Museum. Rooms clean with interior in normal average condition. Bathroom very clean and in good condition. Staff very friendly, but procedures a little complicated (hair dryer, luggage storage). Continental breakfast simple (plastic cutlery, weak tea/coffee, cereals/milk, bread/butter, jam/marmelade) with crowded breakfast room. Certainly no luxury, but concerning excellent location and good accomodation this hotel offers very good value for money.

The breakfast provision at this hotel is abysmal, guests are not povided with trays and have to carry plates and dishes to the tables in a small busy dining area, inevitably leading to spillages and other accidents.Orange juice is served in plastic cups, plates and saucers are left for customers, without even being dry. This was the worst restaurant for breakfast I have ever experienced.Very, very Poor.

The hotel was very much like going back in time to the 1970's, we had two room a double and a triple. The rooms were very basic if you needed the hair dryer you had to go on a very long trek to find housekeeping and hand over £20.00 deposit. The towels in the room were thin threadbare and little more than a hand towel, if you needed extras you had to go yet again to housekeeping and fetch them. The beds were on wheels that moved everytime you turned over, the mattresses were old, worn, thin and ours was blood stained. The pillows were flat and we felt that were were sleeping with just a pilllow case. The locality to the tube station was fantastic and the area it self was great. Just very dissappointing rooms, breakfast was a bowel of ceral and a cob with a glass of juice we did not even get a hot drink. So overall very poor by far the worst hotel we have ever stayed in and exremely over priced considering. We have stayed in far better for cheaper

The hotel had very nice personell when checking in and out, but the restaurant (not the bar) had the worst staff I have ever met. The restaurant was not clean, the personell was really unfriendly (in the restaurant). The location of the hotel is excellent, but the whole hotel really needs to be modernized. Design in rooms, elevators, hallways is not very nice when it comes to colors etc. It looks like the same furnishment as was used in 1950's. And the madrass/beds really hurts the back. If they made the place more delicate and up to date I would definatly have made this my number one choice when going to London.

The hotel is very much a bulk hotel and it seems like no money is invested in keeping the hotel to a satisfactory standard. In another country the hotel could not have 3 stars, it is way too lame. The rooms are inferior, the beds uncomfortable (springs can be felt through the mattress) and the breakfast poor. The hotel probably suites young people that do not care about where they sleep during their stay but couples and families that look for comfort, will not find the hotel pleasant.

The size of this hotel is its main disadvantage. It is huge and felt a bit like a youth hostel at times. The staff were friendly however and the rooms were fine. Only the breakfast felt a bit cheap, with queues, large urns of weak tea & coffee and not much choice for the "free" breakfast. The location couldn't have been better however and for a cheap weekend in London, probably it is hard to beat.

The continental brakfast which is included in the price is a "JOKE". It is utterly "despicable". They should rather say "cofee-tea included" insted of breakfat. No air conditioning in the rooms.Yet an old style "tradition".Do not expect a "twin room" even if you "reserved" one.

We had to stand an hour in line to chek in, and we did not get the room we orderd. We wanted a rom with double bed, but got two beds. If we wanted to change room, we had to stand in a new line, or wait till the next day. If we wanted to get a new room, we had to chek out of the room at 11, and wait til 2 for the new rom. There was some long black hair in the bathtub, and in the bed, the bathroom was nice but not proper clean. The beds were old and not comfortable. The TV was OK. The reseption area was nice...

The place is centrally located close to the tube and other amenities. Breakfast is poor in choice. Room is average sized and is cleaned daily. I recommend this hotel to those who wish to travel in London since it is located in an ideal position and you can get to Heathrow airport using a train that takes 45 mins (with no need to change trains).

One of the worst I stayed in this year. Perhaps the dirtiest halls I have ever seen. Its a way-station for large tour groups and as a result is loud all the time. The breakfast is a joke, and the pay for breakfast is not much better. Everything has an extra charge, the phone in the lobby, the safety deposit box, the "fast track" tour tickets (which are simply a way for the hotel to pick up 3 bucks and provide you with a normal ticket) All in all a place I will never stay at again.

Very busy hotel but efficient. Good location for transport - close to tube station and direct line to Heathrow. Twin room on the small side but well maintained and adequate. Very hot during the heatwave and opening the window augmented heavy traffic noise at night time. Taking the optional English breakfast in the restaurant proved to be good value for money.

The hotel is very big, but very calm. The best is that is close to public transport, and also touristic buses. Is possible to eat good in a lot of restaurants in the same street. Continental breakfast is very poor, only sweet, neither jam or cheese or something salty.
