This hotel fulfilled our purpose very well: transition between a european flght arriving into gatwick and a transatlantic flght from heathrow the following day. Location at Paddington excellent for the heathrow express or the direct rail connection to LHR. Room reasonably spacious and bright, copious hot water and a comfortable bed. Some serious construction noise outside window (which had to be open since there was no A/C; however we arrived late enough for this not to be a very serious demerit. Breakfast was more than a minimal continental - good value at 6 pounds - pleasant service, however they get a big red F grade on tea and coffee ..how can a 4 * hotel not have a real coffee machine?.

Staff very helpful and room very good for a capital city - We had a club room on the ground floor which was bigger than our friends room in the Hilton.
