This was a nice hotel to stay in. We stayed in London originally for 7 nights, and then 1 additional night after we returned from a week in Paris. We were surprised at the cramped feeling of the room at first, but then we realized everything in Europe is, of necessity, built in smaller spaces than in the U.S. That being said, it was a nice room and the staff kept it clean. The room was nicely decorated; you might even say it was a little fancy. The bathroom was laid out in an awkward way, with the toilet behind the door. We did experience some street noise (traffic, sometimes, and we heard the subway protest for a few minutes. They passed by only once.). We chose to pay for the "British breakfast" daily, and that was pretty good quality, except for the poached eggs sometimes got a little dried out. The restaurant should put a lid over them to keep them fresh. There was a market within a couple of blocks and we were able to have snacks in our room. The public areas of the hotel were very nice and the staff was very professional and polite in all of our dealings with them.

It was very good, expecially for the position...it is in the center of London and you can go almost everywhere on foot.
