A comfortable and clean room. slightly noisy in rooms looking on the street. The only tiny detail : why change the pillows after the first day to give us less comfortable ones for the second ????...

The room, and all facilities of the hotel were according to its standard and as expected. Problem: The hotel was fully book and the breakfast-area was overcrowded, and as well the coffee-device was temporarily out of order, other guests took their coffe from the hotelroom, additionally the staff was not able to prepare all the breakfast-ingrediens such as chees, ham, jam ets. their was a constant lack of something....

I booked this hotel on the basis of an earlier customer review and the fact that the site listed the place as a four stars facility. The place is nothing more than youth hostel located in a semi-convenient area of London (Waterloo). The staff is absolutely unhelpful and their customer care behavior borders offensiveness. The site (which mind you, I used in a number of occasions with great satisfaction) publicized that the “hotel” offered continental breakfast. The reality is that one will show up in a scarcely furnished room with no table cloths and cheap wooden tables that have seen better times, only to stare at an desolating kitchen counter on which one tray of ham and one of cheese were the only available food and a couple of machines provided for assorted drinks. I personally witnessed a customer asking for a refill of the ham mini-tray and being almost told off by the kitchen attendant….and that was at eight in the morning. To top the experience, on both nights during my permanence, the fire alarm in my room went off at impossible hours of the night for not a reason. A further note of color is the ironing board sitting in the corridor of each floor which allows one to witness scarcely dressed customers ironing their clothes before setting off for the day. Summary: avoid it all costs(unless you’re 20, no family and used to harsh living conditions).

The room was clean and towels were changed daily. The staff on the reception and the male servant at the breakfast room were not showing too much interest on clients wishes. The continental breakfast included coffee, tea, juice, milk, cornflakes, toast, marmelade, beans in tomato sauce, cornflakes and yoghurt. The location is excellent, the bus stop is just in front of the hotel and it takes only five minutes to walk to Vauxhall tube station. Opposite of the hotel is Wheatsheaf pub, which is a nice place to eat or just have a pint. A very good supermarket is also within a five minute walk. Good value for money.
