I was a loyal customer of the Bonnington Hotel, having stayed there several times a year for 30 years. The shock of the change of ownership was one thing, but it was followed by annoyance at the fact that, although Park Inn has taken over existing Bonnington bookings it has not bothered with the customer database, so details are not pre-printed on the registration form. The (new) receptionist to whom I pointed this out was not sympathetic.
The staff left overfrom the Bonnigton are as friendly and helpful as ever.
