Leeds-Bradford International Airport is just northwest of town, serving both the cities of Bradford and Leeds from destinations all over Europe, including from London and Amsterdam, and perhaps directly from the US in the future. Budget carrier, Jet2, has its base here and brings in people from several prominent cities in the EU.
The airport is modern and has useful facilities such as ATMs and bureaux de change as well as shops, cafés and bars. LBA Airlink coaches provide access to Leeds and Bradford from the airport while taxis are also on-hand. Drivers should take the A65 or A660 into town. Alternatively, and for those coming from cities not served by Leeds, Manchester Airport is well connected with the world and trains frequently run to Leeds.

It is easy to get about on foot in Leeds as the town centre is fairly compact. Public transport options are quite useful, with a good but limited suburban train service running to the likes of Headingley, while First buses run all over. In addition, FreeCityBus does a loop around the city centre every few minutes in the daytime.
Taxis are readily available and the black-and-white ones are the most reliable. You can also ferry about on the water in Leeds, with shuttles running from Granary Wharf, Brewery Wharf, and Clarence Dock with Leeds City Cruisers. Travel passes are available in Leeds on First buses, with the Day Rider ticket allowing for unlimited travel.
