Overall a good, clean hotel in a very close position to the airport. Breakfast was included in the rate and for the first two days the meals served were very poor (my husband claims it was the worse breakfast he had had in ten years and many different hotels). however, on the third day, staff changed and the meal was much better - staff smiling and a much nicer atmosphere. As our stay was over the Christmas / New Year break period we assumed that the staff for the first two days were not the regular shift so hopefully the bad meals and service were not an indication of normal service. Staff on the front desk were excellent and housekeeping staff friendly and very capable.
Romms were a good size for English hotels and as the hotel was less than 10 years old, were modern and reasonably decorated. Showers were small - but were separate from the bath and water pressure was OK
We only used the lounge and pub - but both were OK - staff were.
Service on the front desk and in the lounge were good. Staff for the first two days in the restaurant were very poor. Flames with under the heated food were out with the result that the bacon and eggs were cold - not even luke warm meaning that the flame had been out for most of the serving period. Staff did not smile or even greet customers and the managers were even less friendly (and we did not complain so there was no reason for the coldness) The following day (sunday) was totally different - staff were friendly, smiling, the
