In general the hotel offer a very good location for diving and rest with or without family . Some dificulties at the beggining to get facilities information from staff, but the assistant manager was very gentle and friendly, he solve our troubles inmediattly. Location is between airport and down town, it make ideal because the shuttle bus service ride you to down town at evening or if you prefer take a taxi. I recommend ask to the desk for pricing of taxis and tours they will provide you of info that you need. Breakfast and food in general is good but if you need some snacks be sure to get it at down town. Value/Money is ok.

On the whole we had a really great time and I would certainly consider returning but there were a few niggles that really got up my nose....
The transport desk was completely useless. The bus to town was always over booked and you could never get a taxi unless one happened to drop someone else off at the resort - therefore you are forced to pay over the odds for a hotel 'limo'. The excuse was that security was tight for the AU convention but get real - if you knew about this why not put on a larger bus!
The beach area was great fun, especially for the kids snorkling but at 4:00 pm every afternoon we were blasted with 1980"s Euro crap music aimed at the minority of Italian youths that wanted to engage in beach sports - TURN IT DOWN!!!
And one last moan - most folk tend to check out in the morning, around 9 ish, so why is there only one poor guy on duty - it took an hour to check out!
It was good, but it should/could have been great with better management.

The first day of spring in Egypt is celebrated with a grand event that translates as sniffing the breeze. It is celebrated the first Monday after Coptic Easter. Egyptians mark the event by holding picnics and other outdoor activities in the countryside are along the Nile River, Red Sea or Mediterranean Sea.
Camel races have been held on the Arabian Peninsula since time immemorial. The South Sinai Camel Festival starts at 3pm on May 1 every year. It ends on May 31. More than 250 camels take part in this race. They come from 17 Egyptian tribes.
While admiring these amazing animals, keep in mind what to look for. Their feet should be small enough to enable the camel to be swift and nimble, while big enough to balance and support its weight. Front legs are ideally near each other, long and straight. The rear legs, loins and thighs should be should be muscular as well as the area.
Leylet en-Nuktah, on June 17, commemorates the first day of the annual life-sustaining flooding of the Nile valley and delta. Without this natural phenomena’s spreading of fertile silt, Egypt would be as barren as the Sahara. No other Egyptian festival marks so important an event.
The event is just a few days before the summer solstice. In previous millennia, if the flooding was even a few days late, drastic measures were called for. Beautiful local women were sacrificed by drowning them in the Nile in an attempt to appease God. “Leylet en-Nuktah” literally means “that of the drop”. By dropping such valuable items as living people into the river, it was though that the water level would rise.
