The Crown is a very nice Hotel. Staff are young and friendly and always seemed to be obliging. On our arrival, we were instantly told that we had been upgraded to a Jnr Suite, which was totally unexpected and started the holiday off on a real positive note. The facilities at the Hotel are also exceptional, nice pools, very nice beach area leading down to the Ocean which had a small pontoon to give access to the reef. We did a small introductory dive with one of the hotel instructors and were photographed during the dive. Superb touch.
On the down side, food at the Hotel wasn't very good...

The frigobar was empty; the Via Veneto italian restaurant's food was awful; send in my bed. Good the libanese restaurant; nice bedrooms; nice coral reef.

We thought the hotel , grounds and facilites were very attractive and well kept. Staff were friendly and the location was very nice.
Only disappointment that the pools were not heated which meant as we were there in December, my children were unable to use the pools. Also noticed no-one else using the pools so presumably everyone else found them too cold also.

On the down side, food at the Hotel wasn't very good. Breakfasts in particular was quite sub standard for a hotel of this quality.
Never the less, I wouldn't hesitate to return to the hotel again and would recommend it to anyone.
Beverage not too bad except for serving Beer in white plastc picnic cups when around Pool or beach. Breakfast Buffet particulary poor with hardly any choice.
Filipino band in Spanish Bar were quite average.
The Hotel is quite remote from downtown Sharm and the hotel shuttle bus only runs a to Naama Bay a few times a day starting at 15.30. Hotel Limo though will take you for about 5 GBP each way.
