Rated #4 for all Hurghada hotels
This is an excellent hotel with an excellent layout. It is not huge compared to other resort hotels in Hurghada, which is a big plus, since your room is not too far from the reception desk. At other hotels, it is a five minute walk or more to get to your room. Not convenient if you are carrying luggage, or if you are in a rush for one reason or another.
The hotel is nice and cozy with friendly employess and punctual service. It has its own little beach with an artificial reef already inhabited with the many common local fish. The hotel also have an excellent dive center, with boat tr...

Great hotel...its lovely to have the view of the Red Sea no matter which room you're in, prefer to be on the side wings away from the central atrium area though. Its only a 5 Egyptian pound ride by local taxi (beware...they need to be haggled with to fix a decent price) to the busy Sakkala area or the spanking new Hurghada Marina.Private beach and fabulous views, decent food and breakfast...overall fabulous for the price.

The hotel is nice and cozy with friendly employess and punctual service. It has its own little beach with an artificial reef already inhabited with the many common local fish. The hotel also have an excellent dive center, with boat trips to all the popular locations. I found prices reasonalbe, although somewhat higher than the competition, but I don't mind paying for quality.
The hotel staff seemed to make an effort to get bored hotel guests involved in a variety of activities in an effort to create a friendly atmosphere and encourage people to make new friends.
I was pleasantly surprised to find some topless female beachbuffs sunbathing freely and without any harrassmant. Egypt is a predominantly Muslim country and there are usually laws that restrict such freedoms. Not at this hotel though.
Overall, I highly recommend the Mariott hotel and would stay there again for sure.

This was a a beautiful hotel. The service was excellent. The rooms were exceptionally clean. The bed was the nicest one we slept in during our 3 weeks in Egypt, unfortunately it was just for one night. The view was spectacular from the balcony. We saw the sunset from the small private beach and the sunrise from our balcony, it was spectacular!
I would definitely recommend this hotel. It was excellent!

The first day of spring in Egypt is celebrated with a grand event that translates as sniffing the breeze. It is celebrated the first Monday after Coptic Easter. Egyptians mark the event by holding picnics and other outdoor activities in the countryside are along the Nile River, Red Sea or Mediterranean Sea.
Camel races have been held on the Arabian Peninsula since time immemorial. The South Sinai Camel Festival starts at 3pm on May 1 every year. It ends on May 31. More than 250 camels take part in this race. They come from 17 Egyptian tribes.
While admiring these amazing animals, keep in mind what to look for. Their feet should be small enough to enable the camel to be swift and nimble, while big enough to balance and support its weight. Front legs are ideally near each other, long and straight. The rear legs, loins and thighs should be should be muscular as well as the area.
