We do not reccommend this hotel. After arranging to stay an extra night earlier than originally booked thru Hotel travel .com we arrived to find we had been given a very sub-standard room (it looked like staff quarters) for the same cost with no offer of a refund.The management did say they would upgrade to a better room the next day.We refused the room and after much heated debate a standard room was magically made available. We can only suppose that they accepted our revised booking knowing they did not have that level of room available which is very un-ethical . In addition this is very much a group tour hotel and staff were amazed we were individual travellers.The loudness of the " thump thump" music trying to relax on the beach in the morning was unbearable and staff gave no heed to guest requests and instead played the type of music they wanted at a very loud rate>The buffet and restaurant staff were good however.We found much better value accomodation in other parts of Egypt.
The bed was "home made" and the middle slat was broken so that I had to sleep on the floor the first night. pool was ok but not enough beach umbrellas and chairs for the guests. Staff was slow, uncaring, selfish management. Restaurant was a good selection of buffet with veges which can be rare in Egypt plus staff were good and friendlyf. Beach and pool staff played loud disco music they wanted to listen early in the morning against guests requests!!!! unbelievable. I turned the volume down at one stage and the staff immediately turned it back up!
No concierge. Poor advice on transport details did not have up to date phone numbers for Egypt air for example. Ping pong, a loud disco, loud music by the pool in the outside bar. Satellite TV was limited and geared to Europeans. Garden had smelly chicken manure on it. close to ferry for Sharm El Sheik. Hotel is in a main road location with plenty of public and private transport avail.
