The President Hotel is ideally located on the island of Zamalek in between two branches of the river Nile crossing Cairo. It is one of the greenest and quietest areas in Cairo. Ideally placed for business and leisure alike this moderate hotel is a quiet place to base yourself away from the chaos but within easy reach of Cairo.

the air conditioning did not work in the room. at first, the hotel made a mistake and gave us two twin beds instead of one bed, and a silver chain left in the first room was "lost". we were unable to go back to the room to look for it, and the staff did not seem too concerned with finding it. this was frustrating. the buffet is fine for cairo food. the room wasn't too dirty, but stuffy. the balcony was nice. i wouldn't pay 70-80$ a night for this hotel, i got a deal online for 40$ and i think that is more reasonable. if you want to be in a quiet area this hotel is in a good location, a taxi downtown doesn't cost much and you can actually walk. its next to eurodeli, open 24/7 with free internet.

The place is old but wellknown in cairo. It is cheap so you can not expect too much. location is very good. best of all is the cairo cellar (well known bar downstairs. good food and good drinks)
