The room size was good with sofabed provided, but the linen quality was poor, and no linen was provided for the sofabed.They did not have linen as the answer I received from room service.
It is far from any shopping area being near the Airport, No shuttle bus to go the city or to the main shopping Mall the CityStar Mall.

Although Novotel Hotel is about twenty minutes drive from the city, it seems much further for tourists who do not know how to get around. Novotel offers no transport into the city and taxi drivers in the area exploit tourists like vultures. The level of English of staff is extremely poor and they are not keen to assist visitors.
The rooms have an empty mini-bar and no iron. Irons can also not be requested from housekeeping.

Very handy if you fly in late or leave early from Cairo Airport. The Chef kindly cooked chips and plain pasta specially for my two little kids, even though they weren't on the buffet menu.

Pleasant enough airport hotel. No offer of help to get my bags to my room when I checked in, which was annoying, and the TV remote control in the room didn't work, but other than that fine. Very convenient for the airport, with a free shuttle bus to the terminals. Nice pool area as well.

The usual average airport hotel which was fine for a short stop over due to its close proximity to the airport. It is so close you could walk if you didn't have heavy luggage! It may even be advisable as I had to point out to the airport taxi driver the entrance to the hotel as he didn't know it!!!!!!!!!!!! He tried to take us in to the casino/hotel next door by reversing back up the street - it could only happen in Egypt!

Check in was ok,bell boy gave directions to my room,did not bother to take my luggage,had to take it myself.
Room was big.Not very clean.
Bathroom was filthy.The potty had a leak and was dirty.Had not been cleaned after the previous departure.Due to the leak in the potty ,the bathroom was smelling.All the fixtures were broken.
The public areas and restaurants were clean.Service at bar and restaurant were ok.
The hotel is OVER PRICED and run down.It needs renovation.
For a NOVOTEL it is a disaster.

We arrived in Cairo in the middle of the night. Arrived at hotel approx 4.00 am but bed for the third person was not ready, nor were towels left for third person. After requesting these, waited over half hour, so were not impressed as we really just wanted to go to bed after travelling from Athens, where we arrived at the airport early in the evening and not catching any sleep. Plus, the room was musty - so there was that damp smell, but we just wanted to get to sleep rather than fuss about that too. We were staying another night with our tour party so in the morning changed rooms. When we woke the following morning the shower was cold. Other people staying at the hotel said their shower was hot. The buffet breakfast was lovely as there was a large selection. The courtyard with swimming pool was lovely and relaxing. The hotel was handy to airport, but a distance to the downtown. Took a taxi from outside the hotel to take us to Khan el Khalili market but the driver only wanted to drop us off near by and told us to walk the rest of the way, as we did not know where we were we drove back. That was a waste of money and time. We were told we should have used the 'reliable' taxi from inside the hotel.
