Rated #20 for all Cairo hotels
Good hotel, the rooms are particulary large; Location close to the Egyptian Museum is a plus; only drawback is traffic noise in downtown Cairo. Friendly staff. Booking via HotelTravel.com went very smooth. Standard rooms are City side (as opposed to Nile side); Rooms are very large and well equipped. Great tours from American Express. ...

Did you know that in Nile Hilton people get charged for phone calls as soon as they dial the number? That means that if the person on the other side of the line does not pick up the phone you still will get charged!!! That is because that's how the system works! So avoid telephone calls you are going to pay for sure. On the other hand there is a pretty good chance you'll end up bargaining with the manager! I also discovered I got over charged (the products on the list room were not actually all on the bench, while the next day they were) I got charged more or less 140 egyptian pound while the things I consumed were valued 76 Egyptian Pounds. And all these had to be resolved while I was checking out and had a plane to catch... On the other hand personell was very helpful, but my impressions were ruined.
